if someone inputs a number say 2.32

it does str(2.32) and puts it in name

str() you find in most programming languages to force something to be treated as text as in "2.32" not just 2.32

i use int() in the other routine to convert ANY input to an integer

input gives result
212 gives 212
2.32 gives 2
"hello" gives 0

but thats the idea, then it accepts the number and makes it a string

I want it to forbid that, so that input is NOT accepted. (i.e:

name of student to add?
user types 2424 for some reason
invalid input, try again
name of student to add?

but by using string and valueerror it doesn't catch that

fine then call a separate function thet has a loop which keeps going until you get something valid

use

str.isalpha()¶ Return true if all characters in the string are alphabetic and there is at least one character, false otherwise.
