Neither did I. We would normally be at the hospital, but my granddad got a shot thats radioactive. We can't visit him for 2 days :(

The radioactivity would be miniscule, I would think. What is important is the timing, since radioactive things lose their radioactivity.
 
they use radioactive isotopes and then some special machines to find them again in the body , I think they cal it scintography

but never heard of not being able to be wit the patient for days

Yikes. Actually sounds kind of painful. Maybe it's cus I'm not a big fan of needles.
