His supporters will follow him to the ends of the Earth but the question is : will the families get any money from the sale?

I hope they do get some money and in one way or another they will.
I’m not sure what the status of this case is now so we will see.

I do know that many, many people are getting some money from Catholic molestation law suits, from settlements from priests and Catholic schools. I hear about it all the time. Would you care to comment on why the Catholic Church has not been shut down in North America yet?

What a strange question.
The Catholic Church as you said has paid money to the victims and it has continued to operate.
The fault relies with the specific priests not believers as a whole who are catholic.

Alex jones on the other hand makes fun of dead children’s families.
I mean when I see this man, I see a man possessed . He’s a coward, gutless and just pure evil of a man.
I hope that God cleans him from his demons that posses him.
Sometimes it’s through these men that God reveals His glory.
Maybe He will take his eyesight like He did to Paul so He can humble this possessed soul.

Also in regards to payment, I also see from this article below that the families seem at peace with this decision.

“The dissolution of Alex Jones’ assets and the death of Infowars is the justice we have long awaited and fought for,” Robbie Parker, whose daughter Emilie was killed in the 2012 shooting in Connecticut, said in a statement provided by his lawyers.”

This demon will continue to be evil and this demon may even be clever to avoid being sued next time.

So, if Alex Jones verdict was justifiable of 1.5 billion for saying things, would each act of molestation by the Catholic Church, be worth 10 times that amount per child? If you are great of judging someone, how would you judge the perverted Catholic Priests per sodomizing a child?

Oh so this is a question of money?
I mean I guess from that article you can see that the parents aren’t so much interested in the money but more so they can find justice and peace from being traumatized from this demon.

Similarly Catholics priests have gone to jail and the families have been paid to restore justice and their own trauma from being molested.

So the question of the amount of money is a question for the lawyers I guess because I don’t know how that works.
It seems that the parents of the dead children seem at peace now with this decision and it looks like it sold for 35mil? But I’m not sure.

$14.7 million
  • A settlement has been reached in a class-action lawsuit against the Archdiocese of Montreal brought by victims of sexual assault. The Catholic archdiocese will pay at least $14.7 million to victims. The settlement will compensate those who were abused by priests and lay employees within the archdiocese.
$14.7M settlement reached in abuse lawsuit against Montreal's Catholic Church
Agreement will compensate victims of roughly 30 priests as well as lay employees

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/montreal-catholic-church-1.6809305#:~:text=A settlement has been reached in a class-action,by priests and lay employees within the archdiocese.

Do you think justice is blind when it comes to Catholic priests, compared to Alex Jones? I mean a 1.5 billion judgement for saying something, compared to 30 priests who victimized the innocent with sexual assault get 14.7 million?

I'm not a math genius, but something isn't adding up.

I agree with you here and the payouts don’t match up but so far we don’t know the details of the Jones case yet in terms of payout.
I guess your gripe is with the lawyers and perhaps the judge for awarding such a high amount?
I mean some lawyers are really clever and they turn a trial into a sensation.
I remember the famous one in the 90s about O J Simpson where lawyers exploited the racism in some cops.

So try to look at these things without the political prisms which affects even what we eat nowadays.

Men are responsible for their actions.
Other variables will exploit a certain trial to highlight other agendas.

Supposedly it was the families that bought Alex Jones platform. So they will be paid with their own money and I suspect this site will be a total bust.

You sure about this? You're saying that the families put their own money to buy the platform who are now hoping to get paid in return?
Because i'm not reading this on the news this morning. The news is saying that the money from the sale of this platform will go towards various things such as estate creditors and families.

That is what I heard yesterday on Bannon's show when Alex Jones was on there as they were pulling the plug. I have already shared the link to that in the thread I started.

Looks like a judge is going to look more into this auction and the families seemed content with shutting it down and the money seems secondary for them. I don't blame them.
More details here: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/nov/15/the-onion-infowars-bankruptcy
But that is really not the issue here. We have known all that for years.

The issue here is that the legal process was completely short circuited.

1. It was supposed to be the highest bid. And it was supposed to be public.

Then they changed the rules at the last minute making it private. When asked if it was the highest bid they responded "it was competitive" meaning it wasn't.

2. The money was supposed to have cleared and been in the bank for 30 days before they could take ownership and shut down the platform. Instead they came in and shutdown the platform before a dime had actually been transferred.

3. In a bankruptcy proceeding the judge must certify the result. They shut down Alex Jones yesterday before the judge certified.

Now why would they do all this, it had nothing to do with Sandy Hook. Since the election his videos have been receiving 100 million views while CNN and MSNBC are in the dumpster. It was clearly an attempt to silence him and it was done illegally, and if they can do it to someone getting 100 million views they can do it to anyone.

Also this smacks of trying to have your cake and eat it to. They put a $1 billion judgment on Alex Jones. That was the court judgment. Now with him getting a 100 million views on his posts it is clear he might be able to actually pay that judgment off from advertising revenue. So they come in and shut him down before he could actually pay off the judgment.

I understand libel and I understand suing someone over libel and although I thought $1 billion was absurdly high, I can even understand very high judgments. I don't have to agree with something to understand it.

However, there is no provision in the law where you can get to silence someone. That is when you have left a sound legal standing and are in the world of Nazi's, dictators, and Emperors.

Yes, i agree with you here that there are other political motivations behind this trial and the parents go through more stress as they are dragged into this political drama.
I hope a just resolution comes soon for the families.

I hope they sue him down to his last pair of underwear for what he did to those families.
