Precious friend, God Alone Is the "JUDGE" not "men inspecting others" for change.
Always go By BIBLICAL Facts:

There are "carnal" saints, who have NO change (1 Corinthians 5:1-5), and, WILL
"LOSE rewards" At Judgment, but "he himSELF Shall BE SAVED!" (1 Cor 3:14-15)

Always go by "What God Says," NEVER what judging men think:

Conclusion:

Salvation is 100 Percent Free, But Eternal Rewards
{incorruptible crown/reigning With HIM!} are 100 percent Earned!

(2 Timothy 2:15; Romans 16:25; Ephesians 3:9 =
Grace/Mystery
fellowship {Romans – Philemon}, For ALL “to SEE,” today?)

Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified!
God’s Simple Will!
The gift of salvation is "the gift of righteousness" (Romans 5:17)...which will always turn out to be practical in the long run (1 John 3:7, Romans 5:19, Matthew 5:6).

God only saves sinners. If you do not consider yourself a sinner, you cannot be saved.
All of us are sinners in the sense that we have indwelling sin (1 John 1:8, 1 Timothy 1:15, Romans 7:18).

Those who have been sanctified by the Holy Ghost are not sinners in the sense of being those who commit sin (1 John 3:5-9, Romans 8:4). We are not any more obligated to flesh so that we must obey it (Romans 6:14, Romans 8:12 (kjv, NLT)).

Not too many people are aware of the great Christian apologist G.k. Chesterton. Apparently you are well read.
Not as well as you think. I'm better at reading quotes. Chesterton is not high on my list. I've read much of what Watchman Nee had to say (most of the books are sermons transcribed by others), I've read some of Spurgeon, Jesse Penn-Lewis, a little of John Wesley, Major Ian Thomas, Derek Prince, Juan Carlos Ortiz and quite a few others. I don't read as much as I used to. Obviously I've read the Bible more than any other writing.

Chesterton's quote summarises what I believe is one of the great misunderstandings that hinder Christian lives. Most Christians are concerned about outward behaviour. God is far more concerned about the inner man. God only has one judgement. Are we alive or dead? If we are right in the inner man, the outer man will follow. If we are not right inwardly, eventually the truth will come out in experience.

If a dead person has been made alive, he was previously bad and is now good...

Because the fruit of the Spirit is, among other things, goodness (Galatians 5:22-23).

And Barnabas was a good man, full of the Holy Ghost and faith (Acts 11:22-24).

The only Evidence of Salvation - by Brother Gregg Jackson

The only evidence of a person's salvation is that they have BELIEVED The Gospel.

If a person professes that they have trusted in Christ alone as savior believing He died for all their sins, was buried and rose again on the 3rd Day according to the Scriptures for their justification we must assume they are a brother or sister in Christ (BASED SOLELY ON THEIR PROFESSION OF FAITH).

So, don't be going to websites like (Calvinist) "Got Questions" that has a 12 point litmus test (which they mis-apply) from 1st John to determine if a person has "genuine saving faith" here:https://www.gotquestions.org/signs-saving-faith.html

Instead trust the words of Jesus:

"Verily, verily I say unto you he who BELIEVETH in Me hath everlasting life." (John 6:47)

A person is saved (from the penalty & punishment for sin in hell) the moment they trust in Christ ALONE as savior and can know with 100% certainty they possess ETERNAL LIFE (the life of Christ) and are GUARANTEED to never be plucked from the Father's Hand or perish (John 10:28-31) or separated from His love (Romans 8:38-39) solely on the basis of FAITH (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:5, Galatians 3:24, John 3:16, John 6:47, Acts 16:31).

Man's word can mislead.

But God's Word NEVER does...

"These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye HAVE ETERNAL LIFE, and that ye may BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God." (1st John 5:13, KJV)

Be of good cheer today!!!!!
Exactly, I was recently saved and started attending grace baptist in my area. After attending a few times I found myself at a Bible study, afterwards they asked if I was married. I told them I preferred to remain single in my promiscuous lifestyle (playa 4 life) Long story short they showed me some stupid verses about adultery/fornication being wrong and then had the nerve to tell me I needed to stop, repent and believe the gospel. I assured them of my faith in Jesus, that I believed he died for my sins, was crucified and raised but it seems like they didn’t believe me. Pfft. Can’t believe they didn’t treat me as a brother. Rude.

Not a true story but should do the trick 😉

The Jesus that condones a sinful lifestyle is a false Jesus and is partially who is spoken of in 2 Corinthians 11:3-4.

This scripture speaks of the true and living Jesus.

1Jo 2:29, If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
.
.
.
Furthermore,

1Jo 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

If the Jesus that you are of condones your living a sinful lifestyle, and if you can be "of Jesus Christ" and still be a sinner (someone who commits sin), then your Jesus is the devil.

You need to define believing. That's why Calvinists (I'm not one) have a test. Peter says that we should examine ourselves to be sure that we are in the faith. We are told also that the devil believes. I can assure you that he is not saved.
The devils do not believe the Gospel. They believe that there is ONE GOD. This is Monotheism. This is what James is speaking about. James is not speaking about believing the Gospel, but rather about believing there is One God and believing that there is a Judgment coming. That is what the context of James 2 is showing.

If you ask churchgoers, most will say that they believe. Yet statistically, only about 4% are born again. Obviously this varies from place to place. Churchgoers in Iran are much more likely to be born again than those in the Western world.

I believed the facts for years before I was saved. My believing did nothing for me. Believing must be more than just mental assent to a set of facts. You can believe that an airline can take you from Melbourne to London. You could buy a ticket, arrange a visa pack your bags and order a taxi. You still won't get to London if you do not board the plane.

All a person has to do to be saved is BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Once a sinner is under conviction, all they need to do is believe on Jesus Christ, trusting alone in His finished work which He did for them at Calvary. And that's all. Once a person has believed the truth of the Gospel, that person is instantly saved and born again.

God only saves sinners. If you do not consider yourself a sinner, you cannot be saved. Being born into a Christian family will not make you a Christian. I was born in England so I automatically assumed that I was a Christian. God is English, right? Not really.

There are tests that indicate whether or not someone is saved. One of the most accurate is the person's attitude to other believers. We prove that we have passed from death to life when we love the brethren. It's the 11th commandment for those who are inclined to legalism.
And yes, God does only save sinners. And the reason that a person must come under conviction, is because Conviction is where the person sees himself as he what he really is, which is a lost sinner before a holy God. Once that sinner is convicted, now all he needs to do is repent of his unbelief and believe the Gospel, and he will be saved.

Also the tests in 1 John are not tests to see who is saved and who is lost. But rather, the tests given in 1 John are to determine which born again Christians are walking in the Spirit (Light) and which born again Christians are walking in the flesh (Darkness).

Not quite. The first epistle of John lists at least six evidences.

The first general epistle of John lists several evidences of Walking in the Spirit (Light). Evidences of walking with God.

They are therefore not evidences of Salvation, but evidences of a believer who has fellowship with God.

These are assurances of salvation. Evidence of having salvation is changed in character or having the fruit of the Holy Spirit is evidence of salvation.

The fruit of the Spirit is evidence that you are walking in the Spirit.

But the only evidence of our Salvation is the word of God.

And what else do they mean other than evidences of salvation? Only those who are saved can have fellowship with God.

Genuine faith always includes surrender of the heart to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

Anything else is lip service and the attempt to procure "fire insurance".

Someone who says he has faith in Jesus and yet is a worker / doer of iniquity, his faith is not a saving faith.

Mat 7:21, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23, And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Mat 13:41, The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Mat 13:42, And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

2Co 13:5, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

Some pentecostals believe that a person must speak In tongues before they are saved.

Agree 100%, you can be saved and not walk after the Spirit.
I think I disagree with you there.

A person who has the Spirit will be constrained / compelled by the Spirit to walk according to the Spirit (2 Corinthians 5:14).

Believing in Jesus is believing that He is our Lord and God and that he offers us His salvation. But, most importantly, faith in Jesus means believing and following all that he taught and the example He set while He was on earth. If you fail to believe and follow all that Jesus taught, then you have no faith. Simple as that.
Have your eyes or hands ever offended you/caused offense?

If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away.

Even the apostle were scared after JESUS died but they didn’t have to be after what JESUS had told them.HE told them that He would rise again after 3 days.

Romans 8:5-6
King James Version

5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
