Ok and those that have never heard the Gospel roughly 2/3 s of the earths population. Or that never heard of the Jesus of the Bible? Not believing in something you haven’t heard of seems a stretch. There is more to it .

i would say it is actually unbelief at its greatest, not only saying you don't believe in Christ but that His works were that of the enemy.

I think John is saying this is not what is the norm for the Christian, and he is writing so that we do not do this: but if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father.

what if the 11th year they overcame that sin by the blood of the lamb? what if one is saved young, backslides for 60+ years than comes back to faith in the last few months of their life?

i think john knew the human condition and that this life is a journey.

that 2/3 that havn't heard are not the fault of Christ but us, His voice on this earth.

I'm going to be 60 yrs. old in a few months and have discovered over the years that Life gets verrrrry complicated when human reasoning and behavior takes over. Human reasoning is against all things pertaining to faith. It's against the simplicity of the Gospel Jesus brought that is grace and truth.

The truth is the only sin that will send anyone to hell is the rejection of Jesus Christ who is the ONLY WAY to God., the ONLY TRUTH to God., the ONLY LIFE to God. He who has the Son HAS LIFE.

Not; he who has the son and.... good works.,,, he who has the Son and.... good thoughts... NO., the simple truth is if you have the Son YOU HAVE LIFE., you have PASSED FROM DEATH UNTO LIFE.

When human reasoning comes in so does a bunch of other requirements "along with" Jesus. When a person has Jesus that person has met all the requirements for righteousness and right standing before a Holy Righteous Good God and eternal life.

When you have Jesus you are born again. When you have Jesus you are a new creation. When you have Jesus you are today righteous and into eternity righteous.

All other things come from FIRST having JESUS., the foundation., the Rock who IS our salvation.

I do agree that we ( The Church) should do more to reach the lost . Still they do perish with out ever knowing.
So how do you see this ? Is it that those that die without ever coming to Christ do they die in their own sin or is it our fault?
I want your opinion not to berate . Although I may state my disagreement. I just want to see where you are coming from.
What you have posted previously doesn’t give me a clear view . Not that it’s your fault. I am a bit slow lol .

in all honesty i do not know what happens to them, and i have no earthly idea. an angle of a vision of the Lord before death, i dont know. all i do know is the church has not been doing the job of saving the lost and is more concerned with other things.

I don’t believe that a vision of the of the Lord at death is it . That would negate the need of the Gospel.
What would you make the Great Commission ? If a unbeliever see a vision of the Lord before death .
Then knowing that The Lord is perfect in all his ways. So now if the Lord appeared near a persons death would not His work be far better than some of our attempts to spread the Gospel? Some could reason that it would be better to keep silent then .
I don’t believe that’s it .

i should clarify lol when i say before death i dont think of them being given the Gospel but that a situation with peter and cornelius
