There is a physical element to what we inherited from Adam. We can see the effects of it very easily. If Adam had not sinned, he would have physically lived forever. Jesus, in His incarnation, if He wasn't murdered, He would have never physically died. He had no corruption, thus none of the effects of sin, physical death included.

After Adam sinned, the physical effects of that sin on mankind were minimal. They lived to be nine hundred years old in the beginning. By the time Moses comes on the scene, the Law was being applied to curb the effects of sin. DNA, when similar, produces more birth defects. Why? Because there is no good DNA to be naturally selected over the bad DNA. We see this same thinking with the Amish communities today. They actively adopt outsiders to curb the effects of the fall on their small communities by introducing new DNA through these adoptees.

So, it would appear, since we don't live to be 900 years old anymore, that the effects of the fall are getting worse. We assume that evolution claims that we should be getting better and better, but it only claims that we can adapt better to our current environment. And the self correcting aspect of two different DNA's, which would naturally select the better half, doesn't seem to be weeding out the bad DNA as well as we would like to think. By the time we get to Moses and the Law, we begin to see laws that say we cannot marry close relatives. There was nothing before this. This was all to curb the effects of the fall, me thinks.

It's a good thing this all gets restored with our physical resurrection, as we will be made physically whole again as a creation, many of us getting the bodies that are without the flaws that we were intended to get before the fall.

The immediate effects of sin on us physically?

I believe that we age faster.

From A.I. "The immediate physical effects of sin include elevated stress hormones, sleep disruption, and muscle tension. When people carry guilt, shame, or engage in destructive habits, the body reacts with a "fight-or-flight" response that impacts overall health."

This is where I believe the new psychiatric care comes into play. I think that by design, the goal is take away the side effects of all the sin that the same industry promotes. To remove guilt, stress, and everything else. Just take a pill and keep on sinning. Do you see the spiritual warfare in all that?

Thoughts?

Yeah, seems to me mental health treatment now is looking more at symptoms than the cause. Treatment of headaches, weight loss, lack of sleep etc.. but don't address sin. Also highly focused on self awareness, self empowerment, self love..
Where Jesus asks us to be self-less.
