Now that you mention it, who gave you the authority to call them men of God? How do you know they are? That's also why its good to stay away from sites that denigrate any preacher. No man has the right to bad mouth a man of God.

Well, I for one, have a lot of people on ignore in the BDF! It really helps me from being angry at such wrong doctrine! NOT!
I don't judge hearts, just the message. But when I do long exegetical posts, almost no one reads them. I think the format is just not good for the internet! You know, having to post long passages of the Bible to show how out of context and twisted so many of the doctrines/philosophies are!
This OP is disgrace, and so are the multitude of Grace777's links to his escapetoreality site. I could show verse by verse why they are unsound, But would anyone read them? Would anyone comment? Just a few people that agree with me. So not worth my time to refute the doctrine line by line in the OP's daily heresy by JP, or Grace777's additional absolute and utter wild speculations and imaginative fantasies by Paul Ellis.
Under the guise of "breaking legalistic tradition," both JP and Paul Ellis just go so far away from the Biblical text it is hilarious! But, it is also deadly serious, because it leads people astray who do not know the Bible, except how it comes chewed up and twisted from the mouths of these false teachers. And all in the name of some kind of spurious extra-Biblical revelation!
The fact is, the book of Job has always been a major thorn in the side of Word Faith adherents and devotees. It says exactly the opposite of the Word Faith heresy. I find it interesting this book is now under attack by heretical internet preachers, trying to explain away the plain and simple truths outlined in the book, such as God allowing Job to be tormented repeatedly by Satan, and how false people are in interpreting God's will for 35 chapters, with the friends basically bringing up all the Word Faith reasons why people don't get healed, and those reasons all being dismissed by the Sovereign God.
But hey, if you are your own god, who cares what God really says in his Word? Any old lie, attracting members to the cult will do. Explain away Job, and theoretically you have a win. Except, read Job, and Joseph Prince's devotional, and that extensive Paul Ellis, "escapetoreality," garbage just disappears like dust in the wind.
So the battle against hypergrace, NAR and Word Faith heresy continues. And this has nothing to do with the hearts of the people who post this tripe! Well, except my on-going pity for their terrible delusion, and my prayers that God will reveal to them the error of this horrible heresy and lie!
And who gave you the authority to judge them? Kind of makes you a hypocrite don't you think? It might have something to do with most televangelists being LIARS.
It might have something to do with their rotten fruit.
It also might have something to do with them being worldly minded & filthy rich.
Matthew 10:8New International Version
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
New Living Translation
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
English Standard Version
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay.
Berean Study Bible
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.
Berean Literal Bible
Heal the ailing, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons! Freely you received; freely give.
New American Standard Bible
"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

And who gave you the authority to judge them? Kind of makes you a hypocrite don't you think?
I'll tell you who gave him the authority denadii. None other that Jesus Christ Himself at Matthew 7:15-20. Tell me, who is Jesus talking to by Him saying at vs15, "Beware of the false prophets?" Who is God talking to at Jeremiah 23:16?
And what about what the Apostle Paul stated at ACts 20:28-30? Then there is my personal favorite at Titus 1:10-16. For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, WHO MUST BE SILENCED (why denadii?) because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not (like Jesus Christ taking on the nature of Satan and being tortued in hell, opps that's copland's teaching) for the sake of sordid gain/money, houses, boats, planes, cars, air conditioned dog houses etc.)
Vs13, "This testimony is true. FOR THIS CAUSE REPROVE THEM SEVERLY that they may be sound in the faith. That word "reprove or rebuke severly/shaply means to "bring to light, expose, set forth." And "convict, convince, point out." Or, "reprove and correct." The word "sharply" means "severly or rigorously so they will be sound in the faith which refers to the accepted doctrine or orthodox doctrine which is "right belief." The goal is correction and restoration.
In short denadii, that's who gives us the authority so quit telling us who gave us the authority. And btw, when you dispute with some of us who happen to be post-tribulationist are you judging us because we may be wrong (in your eyes) and your trying to correct or reprove us because you think were wrong? Who gave you that authority?
IN GOD THE SON,
bluto
We've been over all of this before Bluto. Please don't start up again! It says we can know false teaching, it says how we are to come against it, But it does NOT say to name the names of the so called false teachers.
In addition to that.....You people tend to name anybody you disagree with as a false teacher, and few of you actually know the Word.
You can either obey the Word or not. That's your choice and has nothing to do with me. You can answer for your own disobedience.First of all whether or not "we've been over all of this before" means nothing to me. That is not going to keep my mouth closed to expose false teachers and false teaching. So tell me after quoting you? "how are we to come against false teaching/teachers?" In other words, what do you personally do?
IN GOD THE SON,

The bible tells us NOT to criticize preachers.
If they were called, they are men of God. Who are you to say otherwise?
Oh please denadii, quit coping out on me. Your the one that said these words, "It says we can know false teaching, it says how we are to come against it," So I'm asking you according to the Bible "how are we to come against false teachings?"
IN GOD THE SON,
bluto
You should change your name to Bluto2God never called any of these men
God chastises His sons and daughters
they do not receive correction
they are false
sadly, sometimes a person will have an actual 'call' of God on their lives and they blow it
your story of David has more to do with David's respect then God's anointing
God TOTALLY disrespected (in the vernacular of sports enthusiasts) Saul
Saul went to a witch and asked for a seance
do you actually think God shrugs things like that off?
Sound and good advice.
The problem is I have been online most of the past days marking papers, so I keep flipping back and forth from CC to my online course to break up all the reading,
which is silly really because I am not really giving myself any kind of break from all the reading just adding to it.
So yes better I just go out to my garden and smell the flowers and yes take a little break.
Actually it is James who gives us insight into the power of the tongue (James 3:1-18).So I really do not understand what is meant by the "power of the tongue"
This is right. The words you speak have real power for good or for evilActually it is James who gives us insight into the power of the tongue (James 3:1-18).
1My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
3Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
4Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
5Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
6And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
7For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
8But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
9Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
11Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
12Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
13Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
14But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
17But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, andeasy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
