ST. JOHN;17; 1; THESE WORDS spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son,that thy Son also glorify thee. 2; As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3;And this is life eternal, that they might know thee, the only true God., and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4; I have glorified thee on the earth, I HAVE FINISHED THE WORK WHICH THOU GAVEST ME TO DO. 5; And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with with the glory which I had with thee BEFORE THE WORLD WAS.......................................{ After the gospel had been preached, and teach by Jesus, the sick healed ,the dead raised, and souls turned from darkness to light., the work God sent him to do was finished. All that was left was the crucifying of the flesh being put to death. that is why scripture say you must crucify the flesh daily, which means hang it on the cross you bare and kill it.. When he said that "It is finished on the cross, he was talking about his death that was on his mine for many years, and now he had to face it. When he talked about the glory he had before the world began with his Father, he meant the word that became flesh being returned back to the Father as they have always been one in the same.. God's word returned back to him without void , It was sent out and accomplished what it was purposed to do, and that is destroy the works of the devil and save mankind.
