I like it with either salad or rice on the side. Either no sauce or pepper sauce
- or ..hm not sure what it's called there, we cal it "viltsaus" (a sauce normally served with game)
 
I'm very sorry, but I have to disagree :) Bearnaise is great on a steak! I do wanna try your viltsaus, before I judge it ;)
 
it id much better :D

make sauce from:

  • 2 ss smør | 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ss hveteme l 4 tablespoons wheat flour |
  • 8 dl kjøttkraft eller sjy | 8 dl brooth/ gravy from meat
then add

  • 1 dl seterrømme | 1 dl sour cream
  • 3 skive ekte geitost eller 1 ss rørte tyttebær | 3 slices of goats cheese (the brown type) or 1 tablespoon cowberries (or both :D )
  • ½ ts salt | 1/2 teaspppon salt
  • 1 ts pepper | 1 teaspoon pepper

serve with potatoes if you want to do it "right". I prefer rice though

I prefer pepper sauce, the kind they sell as dryfood on the store and you add water and boil it up :p
 
I have ordered supper for this evening, folks:

A bowl of cauliflower for everyone.
As many radishes as you can eat.
Beets.
Kidney beans.
Water.
