Metal isn't hard rock. In hard rock, we'll use 'power chords', wich aren't chords, but a 1-5 interval. So that means if you play C, you automaticly add G (or inversed).

In metal, we don't use the power chords. That's what makes metal fundamental different from hard rock.
 
hmm, I can sometimes play some parts of songs that I know without knowing the notes, but I don't know how to make chords

and I definitly know nothing about adding chords

and I've forgotten where the notes are placed in relation to oneanther

besides, he asked me to play the drums, and I doubt they have chords
 
We are too sophisticated to limit ourselves to power chords—we’re going to be playing the Grand Canyon, after all.
We will do Christian contemporary (which includes Christian rock) and Christian traditional (hymns).

It is true that rock and metal are very 'empty' in terms of complexness and richness (technical point of view). The actually haven't got chords. Thats why I don't really like it.

I guess I define rock differently. I am old, and I think of anything fast and loud as being rock.
 
Yea, you and most of the people in my church. I heard there was a huge ruckus when they brought the drums in.

BTW, I bet Aksel would make a great second singer.
 
you should have seen the old people in my chruch when the kids/ teens used a techno version om a childrens-tv theme and a fog machien and strobe lights...:p
 
Jajaja!!

I bet a couple of those old codgers almost had a coronary as soon as they heard the first drum beat.
