I don't agree. I owned a Bible for years and never found God. Even after I bought my "first" one in December and threw myself into reading it, I didn't find God in those pages. I found a lot of truth, good stories, life lessons, historical accounts, rules, laws, parables, prophecies, etc. I found God in my heart, not a book.
I'm not saying you're wrong, because I can see where you are coming from, but based on my own personal experience, without God being in my heart, reading the Bible would have just been reading another book. I'm one of those "believe less than half of what you read and almost none of what you hear" type of pessimists though, so take it for what you will.
