I believe in the first amendment, The owner of Chik Fil A has a right to speak his opinion. I was glad when they had chip fli a day that so many people supported him.
Yes because clearly hatred was a christian quality I missed out on learning and I should be against whole groups of people like Cathey. Oh wait Jesus said to love your neighbor as yourself...he never qualified that with 'unless they're gay.' So perhaps if you were to get past your extreme legalism for a second you would see this.

I didn't pay very much attention to the whole fiasco other than the fact that Rahm Emmanuel and Michael Bloomberg wanted to ban the business in their cities. The only clips that I saw showed Cathy to be your average Southern Baptist nothing like the cult of Westboro.
If you want to bandy about medals though, I see Cathy as being a minor player. Mike Huckabee did more to bring about a demonstration and the MSM didn't help either.
And for goodness sake, people. His last name is spelled without an "e"

Standing against the gay agenda who promote their way of life as something natural and acceptable has nothing to do with hating homosexuals. I also think it's interesting how when a Christian stands by what his or her God has stated to be wrong (an abomination before the Lord, in the case of homosexuality, according to scriptures) the world calls it bigotry and discrimination; however, when you're pro-gay, the world says you're simply practicing your right to free-speech. That's a double standard on any level. Has free speech become only about being for something and never against something? Is that it? Apparently I no longer have the right to say I believe that something is wrong? Or is it that I don't have the right to believe in God and live by His statutes? And what else? I'm a hater by doing so? This ''hater'' label is nothing more than a red herring. It has nothing to do with the actual issue. People hate for many reasons, and obviously, Christ taught against hating. But that's an issue unto itself. The homosexuality issue remains the same. God stated many times in scripture that it is wrong. Yes, it's a sin like any other, and Christ clearly loved all sinners enough to die for them. But He also clearly stated what sin is and isn't, that sin is always sin and that it destroys. That's the only issue here. Sin never at some point in time becomes anything but sin. Call poison by any other name, and it will kill you all the same.
It really isn't that simple. Political decisions are often of moral import. What informs that morality? Multiculturalism provides no adequate answers.
Perhaps, but I just think they aren't hurting anyone going off and doing their thing, so why not leave them be?
