This why I can't take you seriously:

"I am opposed to you interpreting him in a way that makes him out to be a false prophet."

When one brings a biblical position supporting their understanding, you result to insult and childless ploys to discredit. their understanding. I did not say you were presenting teachings that make Paul a false Prophet. Yet you did say so about me and others.
I did not use any use any insults, or use a childish ploy, or make personal attacks, and I did not neglect to provide biblical text to support my understanding, but rather I simply recognized the reality that if your interpretation of Paul were correct, then that would mean that he was a a false prophet according to Deuteronomy 13. I think that Paul was a servant of God, which is why I am opposed to your interpretation. You can accuse me of presenting teachings that make Paul out to be a false prophet if you can support that claim with scripture, but I'm not the one who is interpreting Paul as saying what Deuteronomy 13 says mean that someone is a false prophet.

Instead of providing biblical text that supports ones understanding, you use personal attacks. Fine. When the rubber meets the road, you do not follow the Law of Moses that you teach other must do. In this setting you can say whatever you want however, you are either justified by the law or grace it can't be both. IF you have broken the law. you can't return to the law; you must receive the punishment of the law.
I do follow the Law of Moses, but even if I were actively trying to commit as much sin as possible, then it wouldn't change the fact that followers of Christ should follow his example of obedience to the Law of Moses. We can't earn our justification even as the result of having perfect obedience to the Law of Moses because it was never given as a way of earning our justification in the first place (Romans 4:1-5), but rather the only way to become justified is through being a doer of Law of Moses through faith (Romans 2:13). If someone has broken the law, then they can repent.

Paul said in Gal 5:1-4
5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing. 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.

4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

This is of those who came to Christ then wanted others to follow the Mosaic law of circumcision.
you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

If you think you can follow the whole law? Please do it. But don't call us false when you lack understanding of the Law AS Paul says here in Galatians chapter 5.
If God saved the Israelites out of bondage in Egypt in order to put them under bondage to His law, then it would be for bondage that God sets us free, however, Galatians 5:1 says that it is for freedom that God sets us free, so you are not correctly identifying what Paul was speaking against. In Psalms 119:142, the Law of Moses is truth, and in John 8:31-36, it is the transgression of the Law of Moses that puts us into bondage while the truth sets us free.

If Paul had been speaking against circumcision for any reason and not just against incorrect reasons, then Galatians 5:2 would mean that Paul caused Christ to be of no value to Timothy when he had him circumcised and Christ is of no value to roughly 70% of the men in the US.

God wanted His children to repent and to return to obedience to the Mosaic Law all throughout the Bible and even Christ began his ministry with that Gospel message (Matthew 4:15-23), so it would be absurd to interpret Galatians 5:4 as Paul warning against obeying God and warning that we will be cut off from Christ if we repent and believe the Gospel of Christ.

Calling one false to prop up your repetition is cowardly and an act of one who has lost the debate.

God bless I am going to have a shrimp Cocktail. later.
You are notably using personal attacks instead of addressing the scriptural reason that I gave for why you are interpreting Paul in a way that makes him out to be a false prophet. When God has commanded not to eat unclean animals and you think that Paul spoke about obeying what God has commanded, then you have a choice to make about who you think has the higher authority and which one to follow. The bottom line is that we must obey God rather than man, so we should be quicker to disregard everything that any man has said than to disregard anything that God has commanded. However, the reality is that Paul was a servant of God who therefore never spoke against obeying anything that God has commanded.

This bump answers the question implied by the OP: What are the requirements for eternal life according to Jesus?

God grants salvation freely as a gift, through Jesus Christ the Savior, unto those whom He had chosen for it:

[Tit 3:4-6 KJV]
4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Jesus saves us from our sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of the Law of God (1 John 3:4), so there is a direct connection between our salvation and being a doer of the Law of God and they key is to correctly understand what that connection is and is not. We can't earn our salvation even as the result of having perfect obedience to the Law of God, which is in accordance with Titus 3:4-6, so that is not the connection. In Titus 2:11-13, the content of our gift of salvation is described as being trained by grace to do what is godly, righteous, and good, and to renounce doing what is ungodly, so doing those works in obedience to the Law of God has nothing to do with trying to earn our salvation as the result, but rather we are intrinsically required to be a doer of those works because God graciously teaching us to experience being a doer of them is part of the content of His gift of salvation.

Yes you did. You try to be subtle doing so. "I am opposed to you interpreting him in a way that makes him out to be a false prophet."

I have not done so, nor have I have I seen others here do that. You go ahead and believe you are right and circle your one wagon cart with yourself. Most of us here , its not our first rodeo with those who think they're intellectually superior in the word to everyone else. Taking with is not edifying. Thank you.

The foolishness said about the law is also most laughable if it were not so hurtful. Most don't quote Paul why? Because they don't hold Paul's revelation which came from Christ as Authoritative.

God gave Israel the Mosaic Law for one purpose: to reveal sin and condemn (Romans 3.19-20). Paul wrote Timothy:

8 But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, 9 realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers 10 and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, 11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted (1 Timothy 1.8-11).
No one who spends time with Paul will conclude the Church is under the Mosaic Law. The great apostle’s teachings are completely contrary to such thought. Tragically, the vast majority of Christendom know little of Paul nor understand his teachings.

When one reads acclaimed Pauline “experts” and “scholars” one finds they too have little comprehension of Paul’s doctrines or knowledge of his revelations (secrets).

Paul the Pharisee

Paul trained as a Pharisee and became a zealot of Judaism and the Mosaic Law.

Paul thought he doing God’s will and keeping the Law in arresting, torturing, and killing those who believed Jesus was the promised Messiah. How wrong he was!

In God’s matchless grace, God saved Saul of Tarsus.

God redirected Paul’s zeal for His own purposes and commissioned him “the apostle of the Gentiles”
(Romans 11.13) and the apostle of grace.

No one ever experienced such a radical change in outlook and direction as Paul.

As a Hebrew of the Hebrews, God sent him to Gentiles. As a legalistic zealot, God revealed righteous living apart from the administration of the Mosaic Law. To effect this transformation, God gave Paul revelations, “secrets” (μυστήριον), God had kept hidden from the Law and prophets, and from the Twelve.

God gave the Mosaic Law to Israel through Moses on Mount Sinai (Exodus 20). The Mosaic Law was God’s moral, ceremonial, and civil law to govern a Jew’s daily life.

2 The Decalogue expressed God’s moral law. But the moral law existed long before Moses’ encounter with God on Mt. Sinai. The moral law reflects the nature and character of God and is eternal. God codified the moral law in the Mosaic Law and made Israel accountable to it. Before the Mosaic Law, morality was “written on the heart” (Romans 2.14-15) in man’s conscience.
Paul taught that Israel alone had received the Mosaic Law and was under its administration. Gentiles were excluded from the Law, as was the Church, the body of Christ (Ephesians 2.11-13; Romans 3.1-2, 6.14). However, Paul taught that when Gentiles or the Church come in contact with the Law, it has the same effect it had on Israel: it condemns (Romans 3.19).

YET some here know more than Paul? And the Lord who gave this to HIM.
I see you had no response to this post

Soyeong

[2Ti 1:9-10 KJV]
9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

Yes you did. You try to be subtle doing so. "I am opposed to you interpreting him in a way that makes him out to be a false prophet."

I have not done so, nor have I have I seen others here do that. You go ahead and believe you are right and circle your one wagon cart with yourself. I did not intend any insult to you or say anything to suggest that I think that I am intellectually superior in the word to everyone else, so I apologize.

According to Deuteronomy 13, the way that God instructed to determine that someone is a false prophet is if they speak against obeying the Law of Moses, so if you think that Paul should be interpreted as doing that, then why do you not consider him to be a false prophet? If you do not consider Paul to be a false prophet, then why do you not object to you interpreting him as speaking against obeying the Law of Moses?

[Eph 1:3-5 KJV]
3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [places] in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

[Rom 3:21-24 KJV]
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

[Rom 5:19-21 KJV]
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

I completely agree with those verses and have said nothing contrary to them.

[Rom 6:14-18 KJV]
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

That's a good question, though there are many Christians who argue against obeying the Law of Moses.
The point is not that mature, born again Christians, in love with Jesus, and walking in the spirit, have anything against the 10 commandments,..... is not the point.
The actual point is, when walking in love and communion with Jesus, with one ear on his chest, Listening to his heartbeat, and Jesus himself speaking into the other ear.....
The idea that people somehow Need a list in their shirt Pocket, to pull out and checkoff, to see if they murdered anybody today is just plain ridiculous.,

The Holy Spirit guidance and a resident Jesus and the Holy Spirit residing, IS WALKING IN LOVE AND OBEDIENCE.

A checklist would be for some legalist.
Or a orthodox Jew.
Or a budist
Or a monk.

The Law of Moses describes the life of Jesus just as it describes the life of someone who is walking in love and communion with Jesus by the leading of the Spirit regardless of whether or not they need a list.

Then why don't you just stick to posting about Christ as Savior and let the law worry about itself
Jesus saves us from our sin (Matthew 1:21) and sin is the transgression of the Law of God (1 John 3:4), so Jesus graciously teaching us to be doers of it is intrinsically the way that he is giving us his gift of saving us from not being doers of it. Being a doer of the law can't be removed from the concept of Christ as being our Savior from not being a doer of it. We can't have the gift of salvation apart from its contents.

Ahem....which is higher than a list.

Your argument is that the list is higher than Jesus indwelling spirit.

No. Being a doer of the law, because it is the law, doesn't, and can't, save, but will only bring about God's wrath. Christ saves us solely by saving us and with nothing beyond that either required or permitted, which makes Christ alone the Savior, period. The law (as you understand the law), isn't the law that is in view for salvation. The law in view for salvation is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ, not the law of Moses, which law was done away with in Christ as we have been so informed in Hebrews.

[2Co 1:19-22 KJV]
19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, [even] by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
20 For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

[Rom 8:2 KJV] 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

God has not commanded anything that is not in accordance with walking in the Spirit, but rather the Law of God is His instructions for how to embody His character traits and His character traits are the fruits of the Spirit, which is why the Spirit has the role of leading us to obey it (Ezekiel 36:26-27). The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact likeness of His character (Hebrews 1:3), which he embodied through his works by setting a sinless example for us to follow of what can equivalently be described either was walking in the Spirit or as walking in obedience to the Law of Moses.
