There's been a lot of talk about the return of Christ being in the near future.

I know that we should all be happy about this, and rejoice in 'meeting' him, and I am, to an extent.
But I'm also scared.
I feel like I'm in denial that it could happen in my lifetime because I don't want it to. And I know how selfish that it. How awful that must sound.
I want to be married, to have children, to have a career, all those things. But when he returns, will I get that chance?
If I go to Heaven, what will it be like there? Will I still get a chance for all of this?

I know all of these things are selfish and shouldn't even matter, but I think about it, and there's no use trying to ignore it, I know he knows.

Am I the only one that feels this way?

I want to change it, but it's there. I want to ignore it, but I can't.

I think heaven will be far more awesome then anything possibly could be on this earth.
Also, can you imagine being there for ever, that's.. really long lol.
I don't think you should worry about that now though :p you can just live on and when it happens.. it just happens you see, there's nothing really to do about it :)(Wouldn't really want to do anything bout it though :p)

i get that way too sometimes. like i'd like i wanna have the chance to do things to.

but i quickly reasure myself that whatever Jesus has in store for us will be SO much better then getting married or having kids.

so even though i feel a thrill in having those things i'd be even happier to give it up if it ment God was coming to take his ppl. ^_^

look ... if you are working a lot of hours daily ... as to save some money to buy your own car ... and then some one give you a million dollars ... will you still thinking about that car? ... I think NO .... you will have another new Greater purpose .... the life with Jesus is much more than Getting married and having your own children ... I also want to make a family ...but live your life God's way ... God still loves you so much ... and he knows everything about you ! ...

I feel like that a lot of the time too. I know that nothing on this earth or in this life could ever compare with being with Jesus forever, but there still are many things I want to do on this earth before I leave it.

I need to remind myself that everything in this life is only temporary. Mostly I think it's me getting distracted by my life and not focusing enough on Him. Every blessing I have comes from Him to begin with, and before I was ever born He knew how long I would be here and everything that I would do. It's a form of worry really, and I do that a lot. As people, often we want to know what the future is going to hold for us and the unknown can be quite scary. Even though the Bible tells us how wonderful Heaven will be and how wonderful being with Jesus forever will be, there are still many things that are unknown about it.

I do think we just need to appreciate each and every day and thank God for all the blessings He gives us. And we need to remind ourselves that nothing at all from this life will ever come close to being with God forever. Then we will truly be home, because as the Bible tells us, this world is not our home. Everything will make sense when we finally get there. That's what I think anyway. :)

the prophecy club?

Yeah, seems like a really haughty name to give oneself, forgive the name and just listen to the messenger guest...

I wouldn't get to riled up over the talk, every generation since Christ died has thought he would return in their lifetime.

I take the view that if it happens in my lifetime, great, if it doesn't thats great too. After all, we were not meant to know the day or the hour.
