it's happening now. foxconn, here in shenzhen china now has 20,000 robot workers. they cost less than even the unskilled chinese farm girls that they were using. where will those girls go? when it becomes cheaper to run a 7-11 with a robot than with an unskilled worker where will the workers go? it will be interesting but at 75, i wont see it. we might ask; what will the church do when we find ourselves in a society where there are no jobs for most of those around us?
