This here OP is pretty near good, but you done forgot to reckon something important. A good woman needs to be able to take a beating, when she burns the toast or touches the remote control. I like 'em barefoot, pregnant and always a little scared when I come home. Like the good book says, the man is the king of his double wide. Don't be bothering me over nothing hunting season, neither. (One of them shalt nots, pretty sure.) But don't get me wrong. I'm also sensitive, like watching a good love story, like "Deliverance" or "Bonnie and Clyde." And I can be generous, have a 20th anniversary coming up, thinking of getting her a new lawnmower, one with a motor this time.

Now, Mr All, I'd really like to teach you how to dont right now...

Don't know about we, but you be lookin' to star in a Dateline Mystery! (And I'm sayin' a passive role.)

Well someone had to lighten the mood round these here parts..I just don't know what I'd do without my little sweet thing to do ma laundry, clean up after me and the kids and take care a stuff round here if ya know what I mean. I pay her handsomely too with a pretty nice allowance and she gets to get her hair and nails done every Christmas...don't want her falling apart on me.

Just a minute. I be lacin' up mah runnin' shoes 'bout this time...

Sorry folks. Didn't mean to derail anything, but you know how it is, those of us who aren't sinless here on ChristianChat, good angel in one ear, devil in the other.

Schiz, dat popcorn make me hungreee!

JIA needs some ice outa the refrigermarater.....run along and fetch 'im some ya hear.

What you talkin' 'bout, boy? Thought I was plum loco. Hang around you, people will get to thinkin' I'm normal... yeah...

Haha...I make it easy for you look good! Lol

Now back to the topic at hand.....I'monna tell yous a little story. When me and mah little philly was a courtin we went out trailer shopping....not trailer house shoppin but camper trailer shoppin. We was lookin fer sumtin we could put down roots in but still be mobile enough if I needed to find work runnin shine elsewhere and sumtin I could pull behind my 1972 Ford Pinto....anyways...all that's neither here nor there cuz we ended up livin with mah momma.

Yessir, right away, Sir, anything else, Sir?:p

He prefers to be called The Sirk, or I suppose just Effendi will do, in a pinch. Can see you're not up with protocol, re: Sarcasm is Sin thread. His appearance is a ChristianChat style theophany, similar to maybe a third the user IDs here.

No I do not believe I am. Your response, generates this:Thank you for standing up for me here. And the problem with that response, is that it indicates a personal attack when none was made. cmarieh does not want to have an actual discussion...she would like to simply accept and then defend the op which is indefensable

It does not matter what her feelings are...neither God nor the devil are going to care...now God cares about her personally, but He will not allow His word to be twisted to mean something it does not mean no matter who feels bad or wants to use it as an excuse

JF...you appear to be doing one on one counselling here...which is fine and appropriate IMO...but this is a general thread for anyone here to reply in..and I am actually still writing with regard to the op..I am not picking on someone or taking feelings into disregard.

Ember,

The only portion of the OP that may be indefensible is the notion that women were demoted to subjection with Eve.

The rest of the OP is a collection of reasonable inferences from Scripture; any or all of which may legitimately be arguable.

If you contend that that premise alone makes the entire OP indefensible I can see how that is a reasonable view; but not the only reasonable view.

Nah, nobody aint never gonna think your elevators goin all the way up;)

Sure enough. The door even once closed on my head, crunched my frontal lobes, when very young. Then again, folks started saying that set me right.
