It's a very real tell, as you also notice the persistent agenda to try and exert control over others, so much so they can't cease to trollishly repeat themselves. It's vampiric.

Someone who has to be right all the time has a very jacked up thought process and exercise's a whole lot of thinking errors.
Emotional maturity is a rare occurrence in men because we were taught to be like the marlboro man, and did'nt learn how to recognize and process our personal pain.

Most men think there is only anger, hungry and tired and operate on a surface level without realizing that their anger is a secondary emotion that started with an emotional pain. Consequently they walk around at about a 5 outa 10 on the anger scale because there are so many unprocessed hurts below the surface.

Ember,

I truly apologize if I came across as attacking you and that was never my intention at all. When I originally posted here I posted what came from my heart and the way I believe and we can agree to disagree with that belief, but I felt like I was put on the spotlight that I was the one twisting scripture and that really bothered me and felt that I needed to stand up for myself on that. However, I do apologize to you and to anyone else who was offended by what I said. I just want what I said to be of some value, if that makes sense.

Please forgive me

Cmariah,
Read her replies. Her purpose is to draw people in. Go and see. It's obvious she's here to cause conflict. Nothing more. It brings in viewers and traffic.

She doesn't even believe the Bible is authoritative.

Her name is EMBER.

I know, AoK had so many bad posts, it was hard to comment on them all. I sort of thought I covered single women in my last post? I mentioned them, anyway. I guess I got carried away on the abuse of wives, and forgot to get into the fact that not all women marry. Nor should they have to. And they should be respected for being single whether it is by choice, or whether they have just not met the person God wants them to be with.

In any event, people should be very well grounded within themselves, in their walk with the Lord, be able to stand for themselves, first, in life, not seeking anybody of necessity, for neediness, expecting another person is going to solve their problems or make for their happiness, or marrying for pressures from society, the world. There is no riding off into the sunset and living happily ever after, no list of rules everybody is going to keep, in the first place. That's fiction, fairy tales, Hollywood endings: not real life. Much of the OP is only perfect, on paper, something people will, royally, muck up, just given some time.

Your awesomness just blew up all in my face!!!

Another interesting thing about abusers is that they need an emotional caretaker and their victim often becomes that for them.

I do understand Angela, (I kind of figured you had either missed that post or were dealing with so many of the other posts it would have been very easy to miss) She was hurt by it that's why I felt something needed to be said.

And I do apologize to you if I missed your post on the single women. (I miss some posts once in a while too) :o

Yes, there is a reason that God's mercies are new every morning. There is the ideal, sinless life which none of us can do... ever, by the way. The only perfect one was Jesus. I mean, Paul talks about doing what he knows he shouldn't, or not doing what he knows he should (and no, I'm not making any kind of deity of Paul).

Marriage (and I think that's what the OP is TRYING to talk about) is messy because it involves people. We have these ideals when we are not married, but anyone who has lived with a spouse for ANY length of time (and kids, I'm talking a month or less even), knows that there'd better be a whole lotta grace and mercy flowing between the two.

I am not a feminist but I do believe in femininity.

My Lady, I say this with sincere respect; feminism and femininity are as polar opposite as arctic and antarctic. Don't ever use those words in the same sentence again lest you destroy the meaning of femininity and everything beautiful in a woman.

Christ is the ONLY solution to all this tit-for-tat man vs. woman stuff.

"'As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God'. So then, each one of us shall give an account of himself to God." - Romans 14:11-12
That Ok to some extent - it doesn't help you while your being hurt

I come here to listen to you all. Sometimes I feel confident enough to say something. Some of the things said, and the way they are said have moved from being assertive to just meanness. None of us look good when we are mean even when your responding to something that you feel is wrong. Some of you are just trying to inflame peoples feelings - you've got nothing to be proud of. I'm no saint n you'd know it if you have heard inside my head sometimes.... but I know I just look ridiculous (and someone will point it out to me) when I cant say my point without intending to verbally stab someone.

Hello Zoii,

May God bless you and keep you and give you His peace.

Within the love of Christ our Saviour,
Chris

So women are stupid and incapable of independent thought? I feel so loved by God!

No. The post does not suggest women are stupid. Men and women are mortals. Finite in knowledge and understanding. The post is not an attack on women.

It must be just as hard for women to submit to their husbands as it is for men to Love their wives like Christ loves the Church.

I try to love my wife like that. But I'm just a man when its all said and done. I fail, a lot.

My wife is not perfect either. It sure would be easier for me to Love her like Christ loves the Church if she were perfect.

But that's an excuse. Christ loves the Church even though its not perfect...

My point is that men have failed just as much as women in this endeavor of marriage. Without Christ, I really don't see how any marriage could last.

If you look at the fruit of the spirit, you could see how great of a marriage it can be when both the husband and wife are exhibiting them. And if you look at the fruit of the flesh you can see how bad a marriage can be when both exhibit those.

There is a structure, biblically, for Marriage, just like in the Kingdom. Just like Christ is head of the Church, the man is head of the marriage. That's a biblical marriage.

Ephesians 5:22-28
[SUP]22 [/SUP]Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
[SUP]26 [/SUP]That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
[SUP]27 [/SUP]That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

Sir, with all respect - girls in my n other generations struggle with the versus u raise. We do not like the interpretation that women submit to their husband as it implies so many things that women across the world experience as negative - from needing to be meek n passive...through to total domestic abuse. We see marriage as a partnership of equality, and whether the verses express it those terms or not, that's how we prefer it to be interpreted as we have had way too much exposure to the worst men can do.

OK so John 7:24- Jesus was talking to the pharisees here and telling them to judge him correctly. This is not a command for us.

1 Corinthians 5:11-13- This is talking about other Christians. Not non-believers.

1 Timothy 5:20- again, talking about other Christians, not non-believers.
You are exactly right the last two are talking about judging other Christians. You said we aren't allowed to judge on the good, bad or ugly. You didn't specify Christian or non Christian

Can you take those verses and give us your interpretation of them instead of saying you struggle with them? Because all you are saying is you struggle with Gods Word. If this is the case then you are being honest and I think a lot of times we all struggle with certain things in the Bible. This doesn't mean it isn't true though. Gods Word is truth and it doesn't matter how much our humanity doesn't like something in The Word of God. This is an issue you need to take up with Him not someone who is showing you scripture that states something you disagree with.

But like I said, please break down those verses and tell us what the proper interpretation is for them.

Has your mom ever told you that two wrongs don't make a right?

If you ever met my wife you would laugh and laugh.

Meek and passive. This doesn't characterize my wife in the least.

There is no such thing as equality. It only exists in your mind. We are all different. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and they aren't exactly like anyone elses strengths and weaknesses. If we were identical we could be equal.

In a relationship one person is better at cooking than the other. One person is better at working on the car than the other. One person is better with finances than the other. One person makes more money than the other. One person is more emotional than the other. One person wants to fight more than the other. One person wants to make up more than the other.

There is no equality. There is only Love.

I think there are many excuses made on both sides of why they can't be a certain way. Eventually, you will see that the biblical way is the best way. For peace, for joy, for love, for everything good.
