Oh, yes, derision is common language for those who have so little capacity to understand the ways of creatures and other living beings so foreign to their own selves. Deny everything.Yeah i know animals are super human to at least to pet lovers. even the snake is loved and adored by some.

If you want to read about the story of Adam and Eve that I find very odd, read of this story in the Quran, what says I find very strange.
Man and animal are both breathing animals
The word “soul” is translated from Hebrew, the word nephesh.
The Hebrew nephesh merely means a breathing animal
animals are called nephesh in: Genesis 1:20, “moving creature” (Hebrew, nephesh);
Genesis 1:21, “great whales, and every living creature” (Hebrew, nephesh);
Genesis 1:24, “living creature” (Hebrew, nephesh).
The translators in translating into the English language used the English word “creature
but in Genesis 2:7 they translated the same nephesh into the English word “soul”
—man became a “living soul” (nephesh).
The word nephesh literally means “life of animals,” referring to physical life and not spirit

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return
Therefore the soul is physical, composed of matter, and can die.

The ancient philosophers taught that man is essentially an immortal spiritual “soul” housed in a
temporary body of flesh—that the real man is not the body, but an invisible, immaterial “immortal soul”
that thinks, hears, sees and will consciously live on forever.
At death, according to the speculation of the ancients, the soul leaves the body and journeys to
a nebulous realm, possibly paradise or a place of punishment. The body, they observed, goes to the grave.
the Jewish Encyclopedia explains: “The belief in the immortality of the soul came to the Jews from contact
with Greek thought and chiefly through the philosophy of Plato, its principal exponent, who was led to it through
Orphic and Eleusinian mysteries in which Babylonian and Egyptian views were strangely blended” (emphasis ours).
The doctrine of the immortality of the soul, according to this respected encyclopedia,
came from pre-Christian Greek philosophers who acquired it from pagan Egypt and Babylon!
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
-Man is composed of flesh. Jesus plainly says that if one is born of
(and therefore composed of) flesh, he cannot also at the same time
be born of (composed of) spirit. He must be one or the other!
18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing:
for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
-Paul did not distinguish between himself and his flesh in this verse.
He indicated they were one and the same, of himself and his flesh as being synonymous
-at The Creation of Man, the whole man—“thou”—that was composed of dust?
Genesis 3:19 was composed of nothing but earth!
God blew air—“the breath of life” containing oxygen—into the man’s lungs
through his nostrils, and the man began to live!
The verse does not say God breathed an immortal soul into the man.
22All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
- the same “breath of life” also pass through the nostrils of animals, as do humans.
the breath of life that is cut off when a human being or an animal drowns.
If the “breath of life” referred to an immortal soul, then animals, birds
and even insects—gnats, fleas, mosquitoes, etc.—would all have immortal souls!
7And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Yes I believe the soul is the flesh and shall die, as the soul itself, I don't believe is immortal. I do believe that the spiritual heart of the soul, is immortal and never dies, once the flesh soul dies, I don't believe will ever rise. But I guess no one see everything the same way.
What you are going to have to rethink is you definition of death.
"When the Lamb broke the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony which they had maintained; and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You refrain from judging and avenging our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also." Rev. 6:9-11
Rev. was given in a vision, what about back in gen.
10And he said, What hast thou done?
the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground

Not one of these passages suggest that death is an annihilation. This is Watchtower theology. This idea is completely foreign to scripture. The Bible always represents death as a separation and that man does not cease to exist with the death of the body.
It is also opening your eyes in the unseen world. Lazzarus and the Rich man. In physical death only the body is asleep.
Isa 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth:
and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
Not remembered? Even if they are still burning?
The words of Christ are always a good place to start...
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill
the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Lazzarus and the Rich man
First of all, IT IS A PARABLE. To whom was Christ speaking?
Luk 16:14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
Luk 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth
your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
So Christ was speaking to the Pharisees. OK, how did He speak to them...
Mat 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables;
and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Mat 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house:
and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of
the tares of the field.
Christ only spoke plainly to the disciples.
Lazarus and the Rich Man is a PARABLE.
