Is there a song that somehow fits your life? One that makes you think..."yeah, that's me" whenever you hear it?

"Everybody's Talkin' at Me" by Harry Nillsson (soundtrack to Midnight Cowboy)

Everybody's talking at me
I don't hear a word they're saying,
Only the echoes of my mind.
People stopping staring,
I can't see their faces,
Only the shadows of their eyes.

I'm going where the sun keeps shining
Thru' the pouring rain,
Going where the weather suits my clothes,
Banking off of the North East wind,
Sailing on summer breeze
And skipping over the ocean like a stone...

Nilsson - Everybody's Talkin' - YouTube

And also "Starry Starry Night" ("Vincent") by Don McLean.
Thank you Dianna for choosing this song for me. <3

Starry, starry night
Paint your pallet blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul

And now I understand
What you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free

They would not listen
They did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now

With the health problems i've dealt with this song has a new meaning for me...

"Did you ever see a robin weep
When leaves begin to die
That means he's lost the will to live
Im so lonesome I could cry"

- "Im so lonesome i could cry" - Hank Williams

and
"
I am calling like the echo of a passing train that cries
One last time before it fades into the distant hills and dies
I am sending out a message like a ship out on the sea
In distress but only you can send a lifeline out to me"

- "Still within the sound of my voice" - Glen Campbell

ok so maybe not the songs of my life but i can relate most of the time and what **edited** songs they are! <3

You know you've reached a certain stage in life when it seems your theme song is the waiting music on a conference call.

This another song that I think kinda describes me.

Love Me If You Can by Toby Keith

Sometimes I think that war is necessary.
Every night I pray for peace on Earth.
I hand out my dollars to the homeless.
But believe that every able soul should work.

My father gave me my shotgun that I'll hand down to my son, try to teach him everything it means.

(chorus)
I'm a man of my convictions. Call me wrong, call me right. But I bring my better angels to every fight. You may not like
where I'm going, but you sure know where I stand. Hate me if you want to, love me if you can.

I stand by my right to speak freely. But I worry 'bout what kids learn from TV. And before all of debatin' turns to angry
words and hate, sometimes we should just agree to disagree. And I believe that Jesus looks down here and sees us, and if you
ask him he would say

(chorus)
I'm a man of my convictions. Call me wrong, call me right. But I bring my better angels to every fight. You may not like
where I'm going, but you sure know where I stand. Hate me if you want to, love me if you can.

LOL! I probably did too at some point! :D God was doing tremendous things in my life when that song came out. Sat down and cried like a big ole girl first time I heard it. :)
