I find even when we are "trying"to be like Christ we are into "works" again. It's not so much you trying to be like Christ, but you surrendering your whole life to him that he might be Christ in and through you. You must be in the place of submission and surrender. Stop! Enter into the rest of God. Hebrews 4:9. PS 46:10 Be still and know that I am God. It is God that works in us BOTH to will and to do of all His good pleasure. It is in the place of rest and surrender that God will accomplish more in His child. you say well,we've been called unto good works. Certainly we have, but the works are His and not yours. I challenge people this morning to start listening to more of the One that will live and abide with you forever and stop listening to that voice of "religion". Some people have been saved for 30 years and still trying to be fed by their Pastor. Pick up your own fork and put it to your own mouth. We don't give bottles to grown ups neither do we give forks to babies. Each has his own proper utensil.
