The strange wording of Isaiah 43:10

I find this wording to be very strange. See if you agree. Look at the word I've highlighted and ask yourself why it's there or if the paragraph would be sufficient without it. But with it, what is or could be construed to be inferred? I'll say no more.

Isaiah 43:10

10Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Quite a few unbelievers point to religions that predate Christianity, Hinduism especially. They fail to acknowledge that God was dealing with mankind from the moment of creation, not when humanity rejected the truth and chose to remake God in their own image. God is not religious. Religion is man's attempt to please God, but in ignorance of the truth.

It's just saying that before the LORD there was no God formed. (not that the LORD was formed)

This simply telling the world that there are no other gods other than the one true God. All other gods are "formed" as idols and worshipped. Every culture and every nation has "formed" gods (or had "formed" gods). But God is a Spirit.
