On April 29th we had an enlightening bible study about some major differences in the O.T and the N.T - how God allowed his son to take the lead in putting himself on the cross so that the meaningless sacrifices of animals can be stopped once and for all. Jesus Christ hung himself on the cross between heaven and earth to become a remedy for the sin of all mankind. Just as Moses stood up a serpent staff and all those that looked upon it were saved from being poisoned, so also all who look in the direction of the cross and believe on His name (Jesus Christ) will be saved.

On April 30th God gave me another revelation, it's wonderful how that works where he teaches me in bits and pieces as my understanding and relationship grows in Him. The temple veil was torn to remove the sanctity and the holy aspect of the temple priest forever. Now don't get me wrong. The temple's most holy place is and should be revered for we serve the MOST HIGH GOD, but God removed the sanctity of the priest hood as he made his son Jesus Christ the ultimate priest to whom we can come with our sins and blemishes, and be healed and be made whole through the saving grace of His Son's Holy blood that was shed upon the cross for the redemption of sins, "that whosoever believes on his name shall not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

God is good, He is patient and waits for us when we play the prodigal son and he embraces us when we realize the error of our ways and returns to him, unconditional love is poured out on us as he receives us into his loving arms. For his love and sacrifice for our sins is so great that he sent his ONLY son up on the cross that he might die for us that we may have life through his blood and washing of our sins so that we may wear the white robe and live with him for eternity. Praise God and Hallelujah to his holy name. May God's name be blessed forever and ever.

Overall, the Bible study was really an eye opener, as it helped us understand the Character of God, the Holy Spirit and his son Jesus Christ and their immeasurable love for us.

To clarify, I have heard before messages of Christ becoming the final priest, but the intensity and meaning of it all - the entire need for the ultimate sacrifice - which is Jesus Christ, the spotless lamb, became evident as God helped my understanding in an universal way just today. Thank you God!

Isaiah 1:13 New International Version (©2011)
Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations-- I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.

A sacrifice means more in the O.T when the person's heart is righteous (like Job or Abel) and God was pleased with such offerings rather than Cain and the rest of Israel who got punished, even killed for their (soul) wanderings in the wilderness. It became necessary that God put an end to those sacrifices as he realized that people were going to remain "stiff-necked" and a "rebellious" people. (also what God says directly to Moses about IsraeL).

I keep finding more evidence to what I have written above, I have read this before, but having discussed it in the Bible study makes it all the more meaningful. I encourage more of you to attend the evening bible studies (when we have them, most often, we do)

(Isaiah 1:10-15 ESV)

[SUP]10[/SUP] Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom! Give ear to the teaching of our God, you people of Gomorrah! [SUP]11[/SUP] “What to me is the multitude of your sacrifices? says the LORD; I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed beasts; I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of goats. [SUP]12[/SUP] “When you come to appear before me, who has required of you this trampling of my courts? [SUP]13[/SUP] Bring no more vain offerings; incense is an abomination to me. New moon and Sabbath and the calling of convocations– I cannot endure iniquity and solemn assembly. [SUP]14[/SUP] Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates; they have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. [SUP]15[/SUP] When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

Wonderful beautiful Jacobd, It was at the same time that Jesus was crucified, that the High Priest entered into the HOly of Holies to offer the lamb sacrifice. It was at his death that the Veil was torn. We now are the HOLy of Holies, to think that the presence of God dwells within us. This is why the scriptures repeat in different places, saying {be ye holy for I am HOly" without Holiness not man shall see the LOrd" what is Holiness,, seperation from the world. "what know ye not that your body is the temple of the LIving God? He who defiles his body him the LOrd will destroy. For God dwelleth not in temples made with hands." We are the church. Nice to see you on Bloggins..........kalyna:)
