What I see? Jesus and Father saved that person, who admitted truth publicly to Jesus, did not hide. That person's Soul saved by God Father through Son, inside that person for sure. The same as I know within me, having no doubt, God given relief to just love all as God through Son has done this first for us all. It is done John 19:30. New life after reconciliation by the willing death of Son first. Is in the risen Life of Jesus for us at his rising from the dead once for all to choose to believe it or not. Not argue over it,, as man and religion still does this unbelief mixing partial belief not a 100% dependany on God Father in risen Son for them

As he said in other cases, what is easier, to say, "Get up and Walk" or "Your sins are forgiven you"
Having all sin forgiven and know it is from God, who frees. Once one, anyone knows within their soul, Hebrews 4:9-13 happens for sure through them too

Calling someone a "saint" has taken on a new meaning over the years. In the Bible a "saint" is merely a holy person or a believer, as they have been made holy, Some bible translations have Paul addressing the "Holy One" is a given location while others refer to them as "Saints".

I'm just confused why someone would call that thief who must have been on trial and proven to be a theif and sentenced to death.
Which means he was breaking the laws of the day.
No way would I say he was a holy person??
It is a good example for us because, AFTER JESUS forgave him he was white as snow as we are when we get rid of ours sins by being baptized in JESUS name.
He wasn't a thief after Jesus forgave him. He was one of us. A saint.
And he's considered a saint by the church.

Fact: there are no commas or periods in the Bible.

remember Jesus stated He would be in the earth/Grave for 3 days and 3 nights
Christ also stated there are 12 hours in a day and according the Genesis 1: 5 a God day is the 12 hours of light -- Therefore; just the 3 - 12 hour periods of light is 36 hours now add the 12 hours of night.
Christ was dead for 72 hours or he is not our savior. The 3 days and 3 night are the only "sign" given He is our savior.

that is very clear --Christ has not yet ascended to heaven
Here we are the morning of the first day of the week, after 3 days and 3 nights and Jesus states --He has not yet ascended to His Father. Why, He was dead or it not then He has not paid our penalty of death for our sins. Either you are dead or you are alive, not both
Christ did not go directly to heaven at death and neither did the thief. In fact no one has, but Christ

I can understand what you mean, but he didn't do any thing for JESUS after he was forgiven.
Since we can judge people by their fruits, did he have any?
Do you think after we are reborn we are all on the same level?
My thoughts are the ones who work for JESUS more, like a bible preaching pastor who is on a mission to baptize as many people as he can in JESUS name and under him people get filled with the Holy Ghost would be in a better standing with JESUS then a person who gets reborn and does very little?
What do you expect him to have done?

Jesus forgives seventy times seven which means His mercy is everlasting. Every time we confess our sin He forgives but we must COME TO HIM lay our souls bare before Him.
