I hope I didn't misunderstand your queries.
The tree doesn't have the knowledge. Once they ate of it, they lost the light that covered them and they became aware of evil (Gen 3:7) because they committed it.
The deception was in the serpent having the ability to talk. This marveled Eve as she had not seen this before. As the serpent spoke she was mesmerized and Satan through the serpent was able to lead her on a path of self reason and to doubt God. He does this even today. He leads people to believe they are right when they are totally off.
Are you referring to Gen 4:15 where God placed a mark on Cain, so no one would kill him? I personally don't see the correlation between these two events, but it was because all the world lost it's glory through Adam, Cain's father. When Cain left the garden and had to go on his own, word had already spread that Adam had sinned. Cain would've gotten dealt with had he gone unmarked into the world. Imagine this;
How would you feel if you were living in paradise and because of me, you had to leave paradise? Now you toiling the ground and sweating in the hot sun just to get something to eat. You look up and see my son coming strolling through your work area, How would you feel towards him?
First; how does a tree have such incredible knowledge?Forever in Christ
Second; how does a serpert (which are repulsive to many people) deceive 2 humans?
Third; why is it neccassary for GOD after the incident in the garden, to do what He states He did in Gen: 4/15?
