The true evil in our lives!
The prophet was ruing the tragic situation in which Jerusalem was. As him, many times we don’t want to make out the real evil that have ravaged our lives: the sin. Why do we bemoan the loss of something, if this only brought us sorrow, anguish, panic, discord, estrangement? Why do we weep for the loss of someone (whether by divorce or death), if when this person was with us, we only wrangle with them?
We have to wail for our sins (Lam 3.39), and this in the presence of Jesus, until He free us from them:
Remember that we are the New Jerusalem of Jesus and we only will be made praise in the Earth when our sins are clean up. So:
I desire to you I splendid day, but for this fulfill in our life, instead of conforming with broken-up relationships or mourning for dead relatives, let's seek out in Jesus the purgation of our sins and be elated allowing Jesus to use you for making people around you happy.
In short: quest for the changing of Christ in your life and everything and everyone will seem beautiful to your eyes.

- “Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. *Lament, mourn, and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to gloom.*” (James 4.7-9).
