Not always. We don't have cable and haven't had it for 25 years. People on here get bent out of shape with CNN but I'm still stuck remembering what it used to be. I watched most of the Gulf War (when it didn't have a number) on CNN. All they did was tell and show what happened each and every day. The only war "live on TV." And when we weren't having a war it was frozen on Congress. We got to watch the boring days as much as the "they really did something" days. Pretty cool!
Ok, this is simply a "rant"....
Anyone with any ideas that the media is unbiased toward the liberal agenda is simply living in dreamland.
I just took a morning break at work, where they had CNN on the tv, and got to watch a "news segment" that lasted at least 30 minutes, of nothing but Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton, giving a campaign speech.
This is "news", and NOT a political advertisement, of course.
Donald Trump gets perhaps 10-15 seconds, out of context, making him look as "buffoon-ish" as possible (not difficult, mind you)
The state of our "free press" is sickening.
Rant off.... I feel somewhat better....

So, is it that the media is amping up their bias or is it that people are waking up and noticing? We have elections every 4 years, do you remember the media coverage say....8 years ago?
I've watched the media get more and more biased throughout my lifetime. I naively thought they would at least try to keep a semblance of "fairness", just to fool the listeners, but this season they seem to have dropped any pretense of that at all.
Early in the process, I watched two "news" people, a man and a woman on CNN laughing with each other about something stupid that Hillary did while campaigning, and the guy said something like... "I mean, come on, Hillary, we're doing everything we can to get you elected, and you go and do this? ".... Unbelievable.
Oh, and we take breaks at work sort of on the fly. Sometimes we work through them, and sometimes we take long ones. It pretty much evens out in the end.

A Fox News alumnus has been arrested and charged with rape. Orlando Salinas, 57, wasarrested July 28 on two felony charges of rape and sodomy. The arrest of Salinas comes after a grand jury was convened in relation to an incident which is alleged to have transpired January 11, 2016. Due to the nature of the charge, the victim’s identity is not being revealed. However court documents do stipulate that the individual Salinas is accused of raping is not his wife.
The fall from public life for Salinas came in April 2015 when he was fired from local Virginia television station WDBJ7 after three years of employment for insubordination. Before working at WDBJ7 Salinas was Fox News correspondent for twelve years from 2000 – 2012 who was known for his combative interview style.
From Fox hosts Bill O’Reilly settling a sexual harrassment lawsuit, to Brian Kilmead joking that a woman who was beaten on an elevator “should have taken the stairs” and now with the recent departure of Fox CEO Roger Ailes over sexual harassment allegations over 25 women have come forward with awful decade’s long tales of mistreatment, it is clear Fox has long cultivated a culture of misogyny and male entitlement.
After Salinas left the news business he began a new career as a Remax real estate agent. In an Dec. 2015 “Whatever happened to?” interview, Salinas’ boss Amy Hudson said, “He’s a wonderful people person. People who know who he is really trust him.”
The judge who set Salinas’ bond did not agree with Hudson’s assessment of Salinas’ trustworthy nature, as he is being held at Montgomery County Jail without bond. Each charge levied against Salinas carries a minimum of five years and a maximum of life in prison. His next scheduled court date is Oct. 29.

I'm not labeling any party, but Fox news has liberal employees as well. It's definitely more conservative than other news outlets. The rest are so clearly biased toward the left that Fox news actually does end up being fair and balanced, if only because without it I'd have to listen to every major news outlet talk about how homophobic, hateful, racist, antiquated, fascist and hypocritical I am simply for being conservative. Fox news has a political slant like anybody else. But for someone like myself they're a breath of fresh air. And I was really surprised at how generous and benign they were in their initial assessment of the DNC's speakers.

The news media is clearly biased in favor of the right wing. It may not be fashionable nor politically correct to say so. But it is the truth.
You and I live in different worlds, brother. Fox is the only conservative news outlet. To understand this, just watch all of them separately and determine which ones offend or shame you the most. I think the fact that you have singled out Fox and not CNN or MSNBC for your criticism should attest to the fact that those 2 liberal-leaning news shows are not as deserving of your censure.
As for everything else, it's hit and miss. From the largely liberal Black Lives Matter to the liberal President Obama, they all enjoy their popular mantra that Democrats are the party of love and compassion and Republicans are the party of hate and division.
And I think you are a prime example of someone who has taken that bait, hook and all. Sometimes it honestly feels like the whole world is against conservatives, but I'm never tempted to switch. For me it's a matter of morality. I don't buy the social justice excuse, which is code for state-endorsed bureaucratic expansions for the stealing of others' money. I prefer tithe and charities. I'm proud of an abolition legacy, in spite of the fact blacks largely ignore it. I support Israel in spite of the fact American Jews (who are largely Reform Jews) do not support it. I'm content with my pro-life stance. And I'm proud to be respected enough by my country that I can own a firearm, of which there are no prohibitions against in the Bible. Yep. I'm proud not to be like the rest of the liberal world.

I think the media has a 7% trustworthy rating with the America people ..or something like that ...nobody with a working brain trust these people.
1) different worlds
I, for one, live in the world of reality. Dunno about yours but you are free to determine that for yourself. At least one would think or hope so.
2) Fox
As I mentioned before, I watch Fox, not CNN or MSNBC. I can only make a determination on what I know, not what I don't know.
3) BLM
I have some disagreements with BLM. What exactly that has to do with the GOP or Dems is rather unclear. There is no question that the Dems promote social policies that help the poor whereas the GOP is the party of the wealthy. Just watch Romney's 47% speech or consider all the welfarism Bush promoted in his wars in the ME where Halliburton made $63 billion. Then consider how YOU are the one who pays for Bush's treasonous war while the rich spend the day counting their money.
4) whole world against conservatives
Really? If so, consider, what exactly have conservatives done to deserve the respect of people throughout the USA or the world?
They continually create wars and instability over the world, give welfare to the rich, make the poor poorer, condemn gays but promotes gay porn, supposedly want to reduce government but expands it more than any other party, wants "government off your back" but happily endorses police crimes against innocents, is totally dismissive of concerns over pollution, claim to be "pro life" but financed Margaret Sanger, claim to be the worshipers of the Prince of Peace but are the biggest promoters of war in this world, claim to be practitioners of "moral Christianity" but their politicians are caught more than any one else in sex scandals, etc.
Do you honestly think Jesus would want to be identified with people like that?

Nobody on this forum is more pro life than I am having survived an abortion attempt. Remember, Roe v Wade was decided by a Republican court which also voted as it did in the Casey decision. It is your Republicans who are the abortionists.

Neither is porn or meth but I suggest that these are undesirable. But you will find more meth in the suburbs than in the cities and far more porn in the Red states than Blue ones.
