I personally believe we are in the last days; however I have not studied Revelations as much as I should have. I don't know where we're at in the timeline.

I'm having a hard time with Revelation. However I've had verses brought to mind at specific times that I never recall learning but must have throughout the years. So I think God will reveal Revelation at some point.

It would probably be best described with the statement at the beginning of that post that I provided a link to:

I have been studying it (on-and-off) for many years.

Perhaps, the best advice I can give you - I already have - in that post I linked to.

To add to that, I would suggest that you not allow yourself to get caught up in the various views that believe all of the prophetic description in Revelation to be associated with a singular short period of time - you must be able to look at it in God's Time Frame.
