I think it all depends on what you mean by paying for it. Sometimes the meanings we attach to words may differ.

I believe we have freedom in Christ.--not debatable. I believe also that all the spiritual blessings we receive from God come through faith..... not debatable also. However, we must live our faith as believers and that is where the road becomes narrow.
a free gift is nullified if somehow we pay for it . Like if someone gives you a gift on your birthday but then you say " oh that's nice, heres a pound for it " .Now its not a gift.
I think you are painting a different picture with this scenario.
When the scripture says, if you are in the light, walk in the light. if you live in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, it recognises the fact that doing the walk does not remove the fact that salvation is a free gift.

As far as God is concerned, the flesh and the earth are going to pass away so only what matter's is the relationship you have with God, Through Jesus.
Becoming a part of God's family, is as Jesus Said. He is the True vine, and men are the Branch's. To be Spiritually Regenerated, which is to receive again The Spirit of God that was Lost during the fall, is to pass from death into Life.
So, as far as earthly Desire's and worldly Desire's, those are associated with lust's the result of a fallen nature.
God also Created man for his Pleasure, Human being's are as much expected to be servant's as the angel's. It however does not border or a lack of exhibiting or expressing yourself through The Spirit, which Charecteristic's of Peace Love and Joy, However, I'm not sure how to counsel you, only The Word Of Jesus Christ Can.
I barely understand what sin is, so, Your Going to have to Read The Word For Clarification and ask Yahweh For His Wisdom.

Hello Infinitekhanol, I agree with you, we need to be Theocentric as we seek His will for our lives in the midst of our ongoing/growing relationship with Him (and stop looking for quick/easy answers from Him). That said, I believe that the most popular/common question that is asked of our pastors by their congregants, "how can I know the will of God for my life?", will, no doubt, continue to be asked

Agreed. Love cannot be legislated. The more reason we have freedom in Christ Jesus for in him love consists.
Love of God and his creatures happens to be the first commandment of the 10 Commandments and through love all the others are fulfilled. Those others still " bind" us but we must understand them from Christ"s point of view and not from the narrow point of view of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
There is a huge difference between the 10 Commandments of the Law and the law of commandments contained in the ordinances and statutes, with the later showing the works of the law that profit us nothing.

Agreed. But it could also boil down to the fact that your own interpretation of what is being communicated is not correct. It could go either ways.

The will of God is determined by what his word says about you in your position in life, and society. For me that is husband, father, employee, neighbor, etc.
John 6:66 From that time on many of His disciples turned back and no longer walked with Him.
67 So Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to leave too?” 68 Simon Peter replied, “Lord, to whom
would we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We believe and know that You are the Holy One of God.”
We,d have to see if this played out consistently as we looked at scripture . I've demonstrated that many times where some go wrong with misapplied scripture.
