The year I turned attractive

I know my answer seems like I am full of myself but not really.

I was a really cute little kid blonde and green eyes, I have gotten ugly as I have gotten older so a reverse attractive for me. If I am attractive now it would be personality only. Younger years shy and attractive, older years confident and less outward attractive.

Well, I finally finished watching all three seasons. It was okay. I'm just not into romance series. I didn't care who she ended up with - I just wanted it to be over, lol!

I wish Steven didn't end up with Tyler who almost got him killed. I liked him a lot better with Denise. That was the only lasting impression I got from it.

I was kinda the same (reading the books) and didn't finish watching the tv series, though I sneak peeked at the end on you-tube.
Yea Tyler was a bit manipulative. Denise seemed a better match, but she was too high-class for him.

Even though everyone was well-off, some were weller-off than others. Plus who goes to debutante balls these days. Only the uber-rich?
I sort of wondered if Lola Tung, the gal who plays Belly, played her younger self where she had the braces and glasses, because she looked completely different, and shorter as well, I didn't recognise her as the same gal, and wondered maybe if it was a trick of the camera or lots of makeup or prosthetics to make her look, not ugly but plain.

Because Lola Tung is a knock-out beauty. I guess it comes from being 'Wasian'.

In the books, no mention is made of the ethnicity of Belly, but Cameron, her first date is mentioned as part Japanese. Interestingly the guy who plays Steven is Japanese descent. Lola Tung is half Chinese...not sure what the other half is - Italian? Swedish?

The two brothers were attractive in a broody sense, for Conrad, and a puppy dog sense in Jeremiah. But I don't know if that scenario often happens that a girl loves two brothers at the same time. I mean come on, recipe for disaster! Or a tv show.

Fun fact - Rachel Blanchard, the one who plays Laurels best friend, who owns the beach house (forgot her name??) played Cher Horowitz in the Clueless tv series. After Alicia Silverstone turned down the role (was probably busy making other movies) . They look similar, being pale blondes.

Alicia Silverstone was handpicked for the role of Cher, because she'd been in the Aerosmith music videos. She was also 16-17 at the time. She'd started starring in movies at age 13 and got legally emanicipated from her parents, which meant she could work longer hours rather than child rates. And some of her earlier movies are a bit disturbing, because she's so attractive, older men were into her.

I'm more into rom coms than straight romance, because I don't take romance too seriously. Maybe I should? IDK.

The summer I turned pretty is more of a coming of age show than a romance though. I didn't find the brothers that romantic, that was all in Belly's head I think.

How old were you when you first turned attractive? Probably was at an early age I surmise. During my many single years I could have benefited from Love Potion #9.

It depends how much notice u take of men . Most men will try to chat any woman up , attractive or not . So when they started showing an interest in me ( I was about 9 ) I didn't take any notice . My best years were my 20's I think . 30's were quite good also . When I was 43/44 I had cancer and my consultant thought I was only 30 years old , which was nice . Fifties r taking their toll now . If I don't get 8 hours unbroken sleep my face looks like an old catchers mit . Wrinkles under eyes , small bags as well . Chin a bit jowly , neck a bit loose . Old age has got me firmly by my saggy skin . It was nice while it lasted but it's all over now I think .

16-17 years is meant to be the sweet spot though. Nowadays its more like 24-25 the age you seriously think about these things in an adult way.
Though I went to primary school and worked in them girls were going with boys from early age, and some had somewhat serious boyfriends from age 9.

I didn't have a serious boyfriend at nine , but I did have the beginnings of boobs nothing grabs a boys attention more than a pair of almost boobs . Got the hips by the time I was 11 and I was the height I am now , 5 feet 6 and a half , by the time I was 13 . I could go into pubs by the time I was 14 .

As long as they weren't making jokes at my expense...they ok. Otherwise, the joke is on them.
I didn't understand why men would make derogatory remarks about women. And then say 'I'm just joking' when they were really just being mean. I can't stand verbal abuse, the belittling etc. But happens all the time, as men here just don't like smart women. Most let it be known they hated any woman who stood up to them with their fists. Drinking exacerbates this.

Women's refuge is common, and now we have pet refuges as well, it's so sad, because pets also get abused in those types of relationships. If it was me, I'd just tell the guy to get lost and leave me alone. Why is it that it gets so bad that the women have to run and hide from these types of men who are attracted to them, only to hurt them. Not funny.

I don't know when I turned attractive I know when I turned different June 17th 2023 Jesus.. The Year I turned ugly is I looked up one day and the tattoo artist said " You have too many" a real wake up!! Thanks for your reaction to my post..later sissy

I can't remember the exact day/month but I do know the year I turned to Jesus (for good) was 2011.
