In my blog post from a few days ago, I said that I was going to take a break from believing in God. So I did that. Well, at least I tried...

Things were going okay. I was just going about my day, doing all the things that non-believers do, which is pretty much the same things everybody does, and trying not to think about God, because there IS NO GOD.
THERE IS NO GOD.

While I was walking my dog, I looked up at the sky and noticed how beautiful it was. I automatically thanked God for it, like I usually do when I am feeling especially thankful. But then I realized that there was no one to thank, because
THERE IS NO GOD.

I tried to think like an atheist. Yeah, evolution makes sense. Yeah, we can get a whole universe from nothing. Particles can just randomly appear, just like that. That's what the scientists say. We have a life cycle. We live, we die, our bodies go into the ground to feed the antelopes (Lion King reference). That's it. That's all there is. THERE IS NO GOD.

Well, I tried my best to be an atheist for a day. But you know what? I just couldn't do it. I couldn't even fathom there being nothing up there that created all this. There is SO much beauty out there that could only be created by a loving God. There is so much to be thankful for. There is NO WAY that we are here for no reason, that we have no purpose. With God, everything seems to make sense. And the biggest reason I couldn't be an atheist for a day was that I felt Him. I felt His spirit in me. And in everything around me.

God does exist.

That picture is beautiful. Where you from? I've been there in your situation thinking there is no God but whenever I say there is no God, He spoke to me through some things. I don't hear His voice but the thoughts that coming up in my mind I know that it was Him. And you know what we are so blessed to have this kind of feeling to believe Him that He really do exist. (Sorry about my English, I hope you understand me.) :)
