For someone to say Mary is the Ark of the covenant commit many blasphemes.
I figured there would be a couple bans by now. But maybe we need catnip.

It would take a couple pages to briefly show the ramifications of Mary being
the Ark by typology considering the fact of that Ark and where it was in the temple..etc.
Yet the RCC does take that seriously and it shows in their worship.

If Mary was the Ark...(by the way in type she was Israel)..the church..rev 12
What was Jesus flesh? J 1:14
Ummm, do you know what the Ark carried?
Did Jesus "carry" the Word - or IS He the Word??

Mary carried the Word made Flesh. Thank you for pointing to John 1:14. PROVES my point.

Why do you keep LYING?
Why do you keep insisting that we worship Mary?

We simply ASK Mary to pray for us. Everything else you have added to this is a complete and total lie.
Why do you ask Mary to pray for you, I thought only Christ was the mediator for us...and I did not think we were to pray to the dead? I thought it is 'Christ alone' was his death on the cross not enough...? <><

thats too bad. Considered everything mr authority says comes from men, and not the inspired word of God given in his scripture. or a convoluted view of scripture which makes no sense.

If you read scripture. Jesus brothers and sisters in the gospels mockked him. Do you think Jesus is going to depend on them to take care of his mother??

My church takes care of many widows and single mothers who's children want nothing to do with God.

as I said, it happens all the time.

Not in 1st century Jewish culture it didn't.
Your problem - besides lying about me - is that you know a little bit about Scripture and NOTHING of history or ancient cultures. Jesus having placed Mary in somebody else's care would have been a HUGE scandal.

Whether they accepted Him or not, He would have left His mother to them. Jesus knew that Mary wouldn't have been turned by nay-sayers because of her great faith. She had faith. Apparently you don't . . .

They keep insisting that Catholics must justify a FALSEHOOD they fabricated because falsehood is the glue that holds their Hate-filled bigotry together.
(Why do you 'worship' Mary? ... We do NOT worship Mary... But WHY do you worship Mary?... it borders on idiotic)

Perhaps they lack the maturity to understand the difference between worship and adoration. Maybe they lack the RESPECT that would make recognition of simple Catholic replies recognizable....

For this they merit pity.

(and little else)

Where does it say that we can't ask those in heaven to pray for us. The prohibition against necromancy in Lev. 19:31 forbids seeking oracles from the dead - from gleaning information FROM them.

Why do you ask people to prasy for YOU?? Why does ANYBODY do that?

Her name was Asherah the fertility goddess associated with the immoral nature of Baal worship. Yahweh told the Israelites to destroy the Asherah poles that stood alongside the altar of Baal because they were symbols of idolatry just like statues of the "queen of heaven" are today regardless of how some folks rationalize it. Praying to the "queen of heaven" always was and still is idolatry. The word of God does not use the phrase "mother of God" as the Roman Catholics do because God does not have a mother. God, Yahweh Elohim, is the source of all, and it is he that we are to worship. The one mediator between God and us is his only begotten son, the word of God, the image of God, Yeshua HaMashiach, commonly called Jesus Christ. No dead saints, including Mary, should be prayed to for intercession.

I think God condemns praying to the dead...Isaiah 8:19-20. Saul attempted to contact the dead , 1 Sam. 28:11 , against the word of God. Luke 16:26. Praying to 'the saints....does it not just detract from from a personal relationship with Christ alone, apart from being against Gods instructions? Jesus is the only one who can intercede for us, it's enough for me :). <><

Sorry, but you're wrong.
The prohibition was against seeking oracles from the dead. Saul got a witch to cunjure up Samuel because he wanted to glean information from him. THAT is necromancy.
Asking a fellow member of the Body of Christ to pray for you is NOT forbidden - it's ENCOURAGED (James 5:16).

The problem with MANY of you here is that you don't consider those in heaven to be members of the Body of Christ. They don't CEASE being part of the Body because they're in heaven. They are MORE alive in the Body than you or I because they have been made perfect in Christ.

No, hattiebod,

It doesn't.

It is NOT against God's instructions.

Show where it says, "Jesus is the only one who can intercede for us"

(Mediator in the matter of Salvation is separate. Why do so many persist in this blatant deception?)

The verse was not meant to prove the sufficiency of scripture. It is simply my belief that scripture is sufficient because it is the inspired written word of God. You can have your church, brother. I'm just not interested in it anymore.

This is such a dark and deceptive misrepresentation of "Mr. Authority's" comments that it only underscores where the source of this sort of deceptive and misleading commentary comes from.

Your so called Mr. Authority speaks from the heart in heartfelt and sincere communion with Scripture as well as Tradition. If you accept one and not the other that is your business. But to denigrate the man so dishonestly (or ignorantly) in such blatant fashion only amplifies the Dark Source that you have already revealed is behind your words.
Thats funny. The pharisees spoke from the heart from scripture AND TRADITION. Paul admitted this himself. See what kind of trouble tradition gets you in when it is taken outside scripture?

I accept scripture. It is ALL we are told is inspired by God. If you want to follow men. and not God, That is your business.

finally. Who made you judge? my dark words? funny how you can not refute what I say, all you can do is make blatant attacks.. And you expect me to give you any credibility?? I feel sorry for you.

The praying to saints is just another method that detracts from a personal relationship with Jesus.
It is indeed against Gods instructions....one mediator between man and God - Jesus. 1 Tim. 2:5 & Jn. 16:23.
Jesus is the only one who can accept prayer.
So why would I waste time praying to anyone else? <><

So, no quick response to #374 Xanthus? ....you won't find it in the Bible...as God does not lie...or contradict himself. If He says it's one way, you can trust He is right? God Bless <><

proves your point?

Jesus refutes your point. Jesus carried the word. In his own words.

John 14:10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

John 14:24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

The father gave Jesus the word to speak. because the father is the one who had the authority to give the word. Jesus did not even claim authority himself.

Jesus is the ark. because he is the mercy seat. Jesus did not spill his blood on Mary, he spilt it on the mercy seat.

Don't you understand WHY the blood was placed on the mercy seat? can you tell us this?? what was being hidden??

Yep it was a huge scandal. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE NEW CHURCH WAS A SCANDAL. Why do you think the traditional jews hated the new church so much?? wow.. and you think I am unlearned.

She had great faith? she called her son sick and said he was crazy because she was afraid the jews would kill him.. What faith?? you hold her to high.. She Got mad because Jesus was trying to learn about his father,, And she left and did not realise he was missing.. Yep she had great faith.

She was a revered woman. But she is not what you claim her to be.

Jesus did was was best for her. HE SHUNNED TRADITION from the time he started his ministry. You think he would not SHUN tradition by doing what was best for his mother? where do you think we, the church, learn to take care of widows when the family is not doing what is in her best interest? have you not learned anythign by the life of Christ? stop listening to men, And listen to Christ.

According to the word of God, the only mortal to be immortalized and make it to heaven so far is Christ.

"He is King of kings and Lord of lords, Who alone has immortality, making His home in light inaccessible, Whom not one of mankind perceived nor can be perceiving, to Whom be honor and might eonian! Amen!" (1 Timothy 6:16)

Those who are Christ's will get to go when he comes back.

"Now we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are reposing, lest you may sorrow according as the rest, also, who have no expectation. For, if we are believing that Jesus died and rose, thus also, those who are put to repose, will God, through Jesus, lead forth together with Him. For this we are saying to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who are surviving to the presence of the Lord, should by no means outstrip those who are put to repose, for the Lord Himself will be descending from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the Chief Messenger, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall be rising first. Thereupon we, the living who are surviving, shall at the same time be snatched away together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And thus shall we always be together with the Lord. So that, console one another with these words." (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
