over 14 years of teaching a Sunday School class for deaf children, 20 years of sponsoring children in other countries, taking supplies to missionaries in Mexico and Arizona, sending out bible study tapes all across Mexico and S. America, supporting 3 family members from becoming homeless (took everything I had)...yet I have Christians telling me you're not putting Jesus first, you're not really trusting GOD, you're not doing enough for the church....that's why GOD is not answering your request.....you're just not doing or believing enough. It's surprising I still believe and trust GOD when there is no evidence of him doing anything for my request.
There will be other ages after we get to heaven.

In James 2:26 we read, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” The context of this verse is found in James 2:14-26. In these verses, James is rebuking those who claim to have faith in Christ but don't show it by their good works.
"If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words—those of our Lord Jesus Christ—and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, he is conceited, understanding nothing but having a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth," 1 Timothy 6:3-5

I didn't devalue anything. But where Jesus is, the true value of things is seen...they pale in comparison to Him. When we no longer see through a glass darkly, we will see His matchless and incomparable value.

Of course it does. EVERYTHING pales in significance to Jesus. When one is consumed in Him, our focus turns from all else and finds its contentment and completion in Him.
You should have at least found some experience of this in your worship, where all that matters to you is Jesus, and all else has been banished except His presence. If you have not experienced this, and I suspect you haven't, you should seek this out from God.

I wasn't referring to worship in church. I was referring to personal worship. And works in the verses you speak of wasn't what kept these people out of heaven, but the fact that they had no intimate relationship with God...I never knew you.
