Make us One Lord. Teach us to love ech other rightly. Teach us to love and know you rightly. Help us to treat those who don't know you the way you would. Remind us of our own hearts. Help us to repent of false religious ideas, false traditions, and puffed up pride. Forgive us, Lord. Forgive the religious prostitutes who do not seek you but seek our own god we have created to raise our selves and our own thoughts up rather than glorify you in all we do and say. Wake up your people, Jesus. Pierce our hearts and remove the yeast of our own reasonings. Teach us the true love of the Father. Show us who you really are.

Romans 1:21-23 because, although they know who God is, they do not glorify him as God or thank him. On the contrary, they have become futile in their thinking; and their undiscerning hearts have become darkened. Claiming to be wise, they have become fools! In fact, they have exchanged the glory of the immortal God for mere images, like a mortal human being, or like birds, animals or reptiles!

Reasoning leads us to reductionism. Left to ourselves, we tend to reduce God to mangable terms. We treat Him lightly. We make Him accountable to us rather than humbly realizing we are completely accountable to Him.

Isaiah 40:25-28 “With whom, then, will you compare me?With whom am I equal?” asks the Holy One. Turn your eyes to the heavens!See who created these? He brings out the army of them in sequence, summoning each by name.Through his great might and his massive strength, not one of them is missing. Why do you complain, Ya‘akov;why do you say, Isra’el,“My way is hidden from Adonai,my rights are ignored by my God”? Haven’t you known, haven’t you heardthat the everlasting God, Adonai, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary? His understanding cannot be fathomed.

God is not like you.

manageable terms: Like referring to God as the 'Man Upstairs'. He is not a man. He is the one true God.

Yes, God is not like us. We cannot dumb God down to make ourselves more comfortable with or about Him.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
