I was told that Babies were found under Gooseberry Bushes. At least your explanation had some sort of logic to it but Why Gooseberry Bushes?

Don't sit so close to the TV. It'll ruin your eyes.

I was told by my mom that McDonald's was closed when I was a little kid, as my mom drove by it in the middle of the afternoon. Maybe that's where I learned it from when I told my son on a few different occassions that McDonald's (and the toy store) was closed as we drove by them when he was a little kid. Worked like a charm! lol

Children should be seen and not heard.

Brush your teeth or they will fall out....Scared me to death when I started losing my teeth!!
