This mnight be a fun thread.

1 Name something that people say that makes no sense

2 Briefly explain why it makes no sense..

I'll start.. People say Hot water heater

Why it makes no sense...There is no such thing as a hot water heater because you dont heat hot water

People who say they "slept like a baby," to describe sleeping well. Babies wake up constantly throughout the night and are usually fussy while doing so.

Saying, *she was so upset, she cried her eyes out* ~~Sort of a gruesome thought. o_O

When you finally find what you have been looking for, and you say...*it was in the last place I looked*. Erm, yea?

(I am guilty of this one...) *can I ask you a question?* (sort of redundant, huh?)

Saying ''All of a sudden''

You cant have a A SUDDEN because sudden is not a noun

This is usually how my sister and i's conversation starts

ME: Hey jess whats up
HER: Nothin, im just watchin t.v.

WHY DOES SHE SAY NOTHING WHEN SHE IS CLEARLY DOING SOMETHING! SHES WATCHING T.V.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

however i always say that same thing :D

well,, i guess you could say that there is no such thing as nothing, because nothing is a concept, a concept is a noun, and a noun is something

"Same Difference"

It's an oxymoron.

If two things are the same, they aren't different. If two things are equally different in the same category, that's a similarity.

Red Tory.

Red is the traditional colour of the Liberal party, Tory means Conservative.

You may have to be Canadian to get it...

Well I have heard people tell me that I sweat like a dog. Dogs don't sweat.

When you ask someone where something is and they say it's 'or yonder. 'Or yonder?! Where? On the other side of the couch, in the other room, at the other end of the house, in China, WHERE?! In WHAT direction!?

Mostly my confusion stems from my inability to define where someone is pointing. Is that called depth perception? Well, I have very little. Hence the reason I can't drive big vehicles.
