I Will Put The Law Unto Their Hearts,
This Is the chapter where Paul gets serious about the
the Jewish people still want to observe the old law as
well as the new one. Paul remonstrates those who
are doing both and tells them that they cannot dp both.
He tells them that God made a new covenant and the
new covenant is Jesus. He then says the old covenant
has become obsolete. Even some of the apostles were
wanting to do both. Over and over again in several of
his letters, Paul called these teachers false prophets.
Actually throughout scripture God made new covenants
one after another but Jesus was the last covenant. Once
God made a new covenant, the old was abolished. So
it is not that the old ones were wrong. Rather each was
like a rung on a ladder. God brought us this far and now
He will take us to a higher place. This is how He allowed
us to grow in our life of Christ; step by step.
