This man came to have an interest in becoming a Christian. But he didn't have peace of mind at first about it. But what helped him overcome the problem, was his learning about the need to repent of sins, as the Bible tells us to do. Following that, he had peace of mind, and full assurance of his salvation.

The assurance comes from the scriptures not from our works . Many unbelievers in church lead better lives than believers sometimes. Many people are on the way to hell ,assured that they are not through there ' repentance ' and ' works ' .
