Yes, it is a cruel, unfair world, at least for me. I love God with all my heart, but sometimes I can't understand His sense of humor.

For several years I've been trying to find a mate, but there always seems to be something in my way. Either the girl is in love with some vanilla ice guy or one of those "jock-like" blokes. I try to be as polite as an English butler, as generous as soup kitchen worker, as sweet as a diabetic dunked in a barrel of sugar, I even work out, but still no results. And I'm sure that there are many of you who have done the same thing and still - no results.

Why is the world going mad??

I feel your burdens bro. Being single is tough, and without God in the center of our lives it is even harder. Simply because everything else will disappoint us because it has the potential to. But God will never do such a thing. You can be assured that our victory over sin and over suffering is more than true with Him. He promised us an eternity with Him, and He also promised us persecution. He never said following Him was easy. In fact, without the Holy Spirit it is impossible to do so. That is why always pray that God will do His will. And if you truly believe that He created you and that He has a perfect plan to glorify Himself in you, then rest assured that if He has a wife for you, that He will truly give her to you at His perfect timing.

God bless you!

Because the world is full of sin, and that's not because of God, it's because of mankind. I know sometimes it's hard when you think you are doing everything right and you receive just bad things. But you are right, this world is unfair. And also, this world is not our final destination, our final destination is with God in Heaven .

I felt like you a thousand times too but now I realize that I can't do nothing about it, because the world is corrupted and you simply cannot fix it. The best you can do is have Jesus in your heart and wait for him to come, maybe you will suffer because of him, but the reward is a million times better than any prize you can receive in this corrupted world= being with Him in his Kingdom, eternally happy and blessed in his eternal company. :)

Just seek Jesus, open your heart to him. He WILL hear you and asnwer you. You can't do anything with out him. I used to struggle with wanting a gf... but as time went by and I got closer to the lord... ive learnt to be content and wait in him, because at the end of the day its all about and pleasing him! :)

Seriously, you're only 17. A few things here, firstly you're complaining that you can't find a woman, and its some weird aspect of Gods sense of humor. But you're still a teen. Try being in your mid-30's and still single. You should be more worried about getting an education so you can provide for a woman. Or you should be learning what it is to be a husband. You should be focusing on growing in your walk to be able to be the spiritual head of the household. How can you be the spiritual head when you're faith is struggling this hard over being single at 17? Maybe its not God's sense of humor, but His common sense in seeing you are just not ready. You don't sound like a person who is ready at this stage in your life. You still have plenty of growing to do. So i suggest put aside your personal desires and work on your personal growth instead. It will be difficult now, but it will be worth it to have a long happy marriage, as opposed to be another divorced Christian.

The thing im sencing here is your trying too hard to be what you think the girl wants you to be instead of being yourself who God created you to be , with your own uniqeness and quirks and personality..Who you are is getting buried with the desire to find a mate

Thank you all for the inspiring words. I will try to focus less on this and focus more on growing in God.

It's just that I find it unfair that so many people with...less belief and less manners....get all the girls.

maybe this is going to sound really harsh and if anyone wants to disagree feel free, but in your need to show how nice you are and have good manners and show how much faith youve got , youve come accross as a spiritual ,nice person with no spark who they can treat as doormat, youve lost your personality who you are..Maybe the guys with less manners, and beleif come accross as having more spark more personality know who they are and have more confidence in who they are.. THey dont need to change themselves for anyone...

Again please dont take that to meen that its ok to treat a girl with disrespect and with bad manners play them, just let who you are speak for itself and have confidence in who you are..

Having a girlfriend isn't a sign of a blessed or godly life.

Priorities, man.

Dear women, I think you are fascinating and love each and everyone of you. But for us, men, you will always remain a mystery.

princessbella, I think one can seem artificial if one doesn't diplay his/her true colors as well. I made that mistake once a long time ago and it cost me a relationship

Beleive me when I tell you that being polite and generous to a woman won't make her want you for a boyfriend. It will only make her think you are a polite, generous person, and NOT boyfriend material. In fact, she will put you in her 'guys who are only friends' category. To be considered boyfriend material you have to show her that you are the type of person who is fun to be around. That doesn't mean to start telling her jokes all the time. She needs to see that other people enjoy being around you.

Hang on a sec!. You're 17!, you think this world is cruel because you have no girlfriend?. You sound like you're tired of being single at 17. I think you should spend your time pursuing things more important to your life at this age than girls.:)

My mom told me to shave my eyebrows and just draw them on with magic marker, so i tried that, and STILL i havent attracted a man....

this world is a cruel cruel place!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At 17 I was single
Never had a relationship

At 18
Still single

19
Still single

20
Still single...

Yes, it can be frustrating but what I learnt was this -

WE NEED TO PUT JESUS FIRST IN OUR LIVES. This is much much easier learnt as a single, with no distractions.

Search for the heart of God, be like David - a man after God's heart.

Oh, and btw....I am a single 37 yr old.

<--- I tried that, it didnt work out so well

To be honest, I've thought the same many a time Ymmot. I get ya....I see girls who are like 14..15..16 in long term relationships and think "surely Id be a better girlfriend than her" <- i know it's super evil thinking that but I think it's about what everyone else is saying...that person who said about "our final destination is in Heaven" -we underestimate that so much... and to be honest, a relationship with Jesus is like 1000 times better than the most intimate person I think...I mean..He created us..He knew what he was doing when He made men and women, but I dont think it compares to a full-time consistant relationship with God.

Another thing too, when you meet that person..it's gonna be amazing......would you rather be in and out of relationships with the wrong people for temporary pleasure ..or would you rather wait painlessly and recieve your perfect woman? that's kinda how my mindset works when I feel like that...

I'm being always single... so, dont be pesimist... there's hope... somewhere... idk i hope so...
