Hey guys just want others views on people like me who play the odd ps3 games like call of duty now and again. Is it ok? Good or bad? You think.

Just keep in mind, if you can commit adultery because of lust in your heart... It might also mean if you kill in your heart you have killed... If you feed your soul garbage you will not grow for the Lord. You cannot expect to maintain a clean, pure and holy thought life if you are filling your mind with killing on an unrestrained basis.

my husband got saved this year, he brought a xbox 360 before he was saved, used to play it all the time. when he got saved he said he didn't feel like playing the war games any more. cause he mention it was killing, even though it is a game, the thought and actions behind it.
Call of Duty isn't bad because it's sinful or anything. It's bad because it's a linear corridor shooter with bland, cookie-cutter multiplayer, a nearly non-existent single-player mode, and gimmicky co-op modes.

My son and daughter play online, and have those games as well as several others. They have no desire to shoot anybody or steal a car, or whatever else they have seen in a game. I'm not worried about it at all.
Look man the fact I don't have a PS4 and/or the XB1 is a testament to the changing power of the Holy Spirit. I owned a 2600, NES, SNES, Gameboy,Sega Genesis, N64, PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Gameboy Advanced, Xbox, 360, PSP, DS, Wii, and a PS3, I was a gamer from the start up until about a year ago. I beat GTA5, so you know I wasn't changed that long ago. What the Lords shown me is that the messages all these games (and movies, and show, and even cartoons) are putting forth are in fact garbage. They take our attention off God and give us our "relief" from reality which I realized I had made a false idol for myself. I would be thinking of the next time I could play all the time, and never put any thought to God, outside of Wed. night. I submit we need to spend more time in reality and less time in what the world tells us is ok, and what we "feel" is ok.
Just a disclaimer- I am not saying this is how you should look at it, or what all Christians should feel. I am just saying this is the Truth the Lord has led me too personally. That's all, just my view on it since being regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Because I sure loved them when I still called the shots on my own.

PS3 and Xbox are sinful because PC is the master race and it is superior in every way and it must rule the world. PC Master Race - A fifth of a million and growing!
All jokes aside, the Bible is never against killing, only murder, and the Bible verse about lust cannot be applied to all things. There is a verse just before it about being angry with your brother being as bad as murder, but this isn't the same as thinking about killing. If in an online game you become angry at someone, that's not good, but that's the case with any competitive activity.

Everyone who liked this ^ and cherished her witty reply over over the heart-spoken warnings of the saints needs to examine themselves. Satan himself appears as an angel of light. You just liked and took the advice of a non-Christian on a moral issue.
Are you truly striving to follow Christ with all of your heart? Or are you just trying to do the bare minimum to not go to hell? Who is riding the fence today? Who is more of a Christian in culture than they are in heart? Can I see some raised hands?
