I'm reading you post two different ways, and I'm not sure which applies. If this is what you meant let me know.

I believe that it's Jesus Who was elect from the foundations of the world. We become elect with Him [from the foundations of the world] when we are placed into Him spiritually as a result of believing and receiving the indwelling Holy Spirit. If we're literally "in Him" from the foundations of the world, then Adam did not need to be created, and Jesus is our first Adam. We would not need faith to be saved because we're already in Him. We would only need to wait for the ingredients, which would have also already happened from the foundations of the world. But, we're elected from a position of guilt, not a neutral, as Dabney so eloquently noted in his argument against supralapsarianism....

"(a) That it is erroneous in representing God as having before His mind, as the objects of predestination, men conceived in posse only; and in making creation a means of their salvation or damnation. Whereas, an object must be conceived as existing, in order to have its destiny given to it. And creation can with no propriety be called a means for effectuating a decree of predestination as to creatures. It is rather a prerequisite of such decree.

(b.) It contradicts Scripture, which teaches us that God chose His elect "out of the world," John 15:19, and out of the "same lump" with the vessels of dishonor (Rom. 9:21). They were then regarded as being, along with the non–elect, in the common state of sin and misery.

And 1 Timothy 1:9 is likewise. Verse 10 puts that work in a time frame.

God chose Jesus to be the means of our salvation from the foundations of the world, but the acts, or works of Jesus needed to happen in time for the availability of being made clean was available to us by faith.

Romans 3:22-26 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

And the heroes of faith in the OT never entered that rest until Jesus finished His work, but they were already dead.

Hebrews 12:39-40 And all these [heroes of faith listed], having obtained a good testimony through faith, did not receive the promise, God having provided something better for us, that they should not be made perfect apart from us.

OT John 3:13-14 No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,

When Jesus went to preach to the spirits in prison (Hades), that's when I believe that the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11, and all OT believers who were already dead, heard the Gospel, and captivity was led captive, and OT believers who were predestined to be in Christ as NT believers was realized for those heroes of faith and all dead OT believers when Jesus ascended. Actually, those were the first to be with the Father.

In Hebrews 6:14-20, Abraham received the promise in type, Isaac, but not the spiritual realization of it in Jesus.

A very profound statement here in Galatians 3

Galatians 3:18 For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

Romans 4:14 For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect,

Galatians 3:29 And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Manna, in the OT was a 'type' of God's word.

Exodus 16:4,35 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you. And the people shall go out and gather a certain quota every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in My law or not....And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

Man in the OT needed to rely on God daily to sustain them with manna. Likewise, God's Word is manna which feeds the soul and sustains us today.

Luke 4:4 But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.' "(Also Mat. 4:4)

John 4:34 Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.

Blood on the top ( head ) blood on the sides ( hands and feet ) , the destroying angel saw the blood on the doors and did not enter that dwelling .
