In a 29-year cycle, there are typically seven leap years. Additionally, they divided their hours into 1,080 halaqim (parts). It'll drive ya nuts!
Sorry, that should have read "19-years cycle ... " My big fat clumsy fingers screw up my posts again.

The holy days were kept according to the Hebrew schedule, but since the cities of the world outside the Mideast, particularly in Asia and southern Europe where Paul's ministry took him, used the Roman calendar, that is the calendar they used.

Even the Hebrew calendar was not used in the secular things of Israel, such as business and commerce. The rest of the world used the Roman calendar, so the professionals of Israel had to do the same. The Hebrew calendar was maintained only by the priesthood. Jews outside Israel marked the holy days on their Roman calendars.

Naw, that was why the calculated calendar was made available. Now if you don't know what the calculated calendar is, you can download and read this...

The Hebrew Calendar: A Mathematical Introduction | Living University Archive and Special Collections

That's what's funny, those who think they are following the letter of the law by keeping a Saturday Sabbath, or even a Sunday are both wrong if it's not in line with the new moon phases are per the Lords instructions. But they will argue over Saturday or Sunday till they are blue in the face. LOL

Sure and you can show us where the Sabbath is based on the moon?

The Hebrew calendar does not skip over day. Sabbath (Saturday or actually Friday at sundown) is always the Sabbath, as are the other six days consistent, even when they add a month in their leap year.

Just as the addition of days to the Gregorian calendar did not change the weekly cycle.

Neither did Joshua's long day. A day is not determined by hours, it is determined by sunset to sunset.

The Hebrew calendar is confusing, because it relies on the lunar phase to determine the months, but the solar phase to determine the year. The regular year is 354+ days, the leap year 383+ days. In a 29-year cycle, there are typically seven leap years. Additionally, they divided their hours into 1,080 halaqim (parts). It'll drive ya nuts!

Actually, the Hebrew calendar was used. The civil year began on the Molad Tishri.

I am seeing some obvious common misconceptions about the "consecutive days" theory and other such things being mentioned here that are not exactly accurate according to the Word.

Here's something to help for a little more understanding...

How to prove the Creation Calendar and lunar Sabbath from Scripture

I just randomly picked #5 on the list and it is in error.

Lev 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath.

Neither of these are the weekly Sabbath. They can fall on the weekly Sabbath but are not necessarily the seventh day of the week. They are Sabbaths known as high days...

Joh 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

This Sabbath occurred on Thursday. Now as for the weekly Sabbath of that particular week...

Luk 23:56 And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment.

This is the Sabbath according to the fourth Commandment.

There were two Sabbaths that week. The lunar Sabbath idea is incorrect and unscriptural. You want to know which day is the weekly Sabbath?

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

It is not complicated and does not require a calendar to find it. In fact, there is NO astronomical event that determines the weekly Sabbath, whereas the annual Sabbaths (The Feasts of the Eternal) are calendar driven.

Point #2 is in error also, the Passover is first of all not a Sabbath, the next day, the First Day of Unleavened Bread is but it is an annual Sabbath. It rarely falls on the weekly Sabbath. Passover in 2015 falls on Friday, April 3 and the First Day of Unleavened Bread falls on the weekly Sabbath. Now the Last Day of Unleavened Bread this year falls on Friday, not the weekly Sabbath.

The reason the "proof" denies the Last Day of Unleavened Bread is a Sabbath is because that would disprove their premise, so it must be falsely labeled not a Sabbath. In reality, it is a Sabbath also, just like the First Day. They are both high days.

Just to add to this, the First Day of Unleavened Bread in 31AD was a Thursday. It had to be or else the Passover was not on Wednesday. If the Passover was not on Wednesday, the Christ was not in the tomb three days and three nights and therefore was not the Messiah.

You MIGHT want to be careful, and re-read what you say, and actually compare what is shown from that link, or for that matter the entire site of http://www.creationcalendar.com/ and then you will gain a better understanding.

You spoke in reference to
Lev 23:39 claiming neither was the weekly Sabbath, and on top of that you are making claims "This Sabbath occurred on Thursday", which is establishing that according to a pagan calendar, and not according as the scriptures.

#3 on that list is complete claptrap.

#4
Sabbath Keeper -- Which day was the Sabbath?

This is a question that EVERY “Saturday” Sabbatarian must answer. If you say day 1-6, I must say, “I thought you
said the seventh day is the Sabbath.” If you say the seventh day, I must ask, “Then why is Israel marching around
the city seven times and plundering the city on this day?”

Because God told them to. It ain't complicated, God gave the direction and the command.

#6 is rubbish, the Eight Day also known as the Last Great Day is not on the weekly Sabbath as a rule. It can occur on various days of the week. It is again an annual Sabbath.

#7 is utter nonsense.

I have seen the same mentality before. Here you have some very unlearned persons who have made some false assumptions, built a doctrine on it and the preached it as truth.

It takes very little scholarship to disprove this lunacy (pun intended).

I don't let anyone judge me for keeping the Sabbath and the Feast Days. Notice this verse has the positive aspect of keeping the days but not letting anyone judge you for it.

I agree 100%, freedom in Christ (what a concept)

Uh, and I am supposed to take this as proof that these passages are not true?

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Exo 16:26 Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

Exo 16:29 See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Exo 16:30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Exo 23:12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

Exo 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

This is only a small collection of the scriptures that show that the seventh day of the week is the Sabbath.

Please show me where these are conditioned by the phase of the moon.

According to the Bible, neither Saturday nor Sunday is the Sabbath! The original calendar described in the Torah and used by Moses was based upon the phases of the Moon, not a continuous weekly cycle. This Lunar Calendar was used for all the feast days, including the weekly Sabbath.

No, I just listed six passages that have NOTHING to do with the moon, rather they show the seventh day of the week is the weekly Sabbath.

I am amazed there are people out there so Biblically unlearned that they do not know the difference between the weekly Sabbath and an annual Sabbath.

the Moadim/Appointed times of YHWH are something worth looking into;

Ezekiel 20:12, "Moreover, I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a *sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh Who sanctifies them."

*Sign is Word #226, Hebrew Dictionary, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, meaning mark, token, sign, consent, flag, evidence of consent.

new year is on the moon of abib, the 7 High Sabbath's/Feast days are scheduled off the moon cycles and the weekly Sabbath is every 7 days...

may the kingdom of YHWH come swiftly that we may partake in the prophesied rest that we so eagerly await:

Matt 11:27-30, "All things have been delivered to Me by My Father. And no one fully knows the Son except the Father, neither does anyone fully know the Father, except the Son and those whom Yahweh wills the Son to reveal. Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light"

Matt 24:24-25, "For there will arise false messiahs and false prophets who will show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they would deceive the very elect. Behold, I have warned you beforehand!"

Daniyl 7:25, "And he will speak great words against Yahweh, and will wear out the saints of Yahweh, and think to change times and Laws..."

Yahchanan (John) 14:23, "Yahshua answered, and said to him: If a man loves Me, he will keep My teachings and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him."

Revelation 14:12-13, "In this manner are the saints purified--by keeping the Laws of Yahweh, (in conformity) with the faith, in Yahshua Messiah. And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Write: Blessed are the dead, the ones dying in the Messiah from now on! Yes, says the Spirit: because they will rest from their labors, and their works do follow them!"

John said we were in the LAST days......there is also the DAYof Christ, The DAYof GOD and the DAYof the LORD................!

The holy days were kept according to the Hebrew schedule, but since the cities of the world outside the Mideast, particularly in Asia and southern Europe where Paul's ministry took him, used the Roman calendar, that is the calendar they used.

Just as we do today, we observe the Feast Days according to the Hebrew calendar and also must use the Gregorian in day to day affairs. We live by both just as the early NT church had to.

No, John, the church used the Roman calendar. It was not a lunar calendar like the Hebrew and other Semitic calendars of the day, and unlike the later Julian and Gregorian calendars, the Roman calendar had a different system for numbering the days of the month. The months were divided into day markers that fell at the start of the month, the fifth or seventh day, and in the middle of the month. These 3 markers were called Calends, Nones and Ides.

No my friend, they did not use the Roman calendar...

Passover:

1Co 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1Co 11:24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

Days of Unleavened Bread:

Act 20:6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.

1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
1Co 5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1Co 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Pentecost:

Act 20:16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

1Co 16:8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

Atonement:

Act 27:9 Now when much time was spent, and when sailing was now dangerous, because the fast was now already past, Paul admonished them,

There is some debate over this one, whether it is Passover season or the Feast of Tabernacles...

Act 18:21 But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if God will. And he sailed from Ephesus.

Point being, those days are not reckoned by the Roman calendar but rather by the Hebrew calendar.

You are both right and both mistaken:

The Roman calendar was used for commerce and civil purposes, while the lunar-solar Hebrew calendar was used for religious purposes.

I hope this helps

I say lunar-solar because an extra month was added 11 times in 29 years based on the vernal equinox
