Just thinking about these three women, bathing the tortured and wrecked body of murdered Jesus while preparing HIM for burial. How hard it must have been to keep the faith when you're preparing for the grave, with your own hands, the defeated and torn body of the Messiah who promised Salvation to the world? Wow untold pain and stab to the soul. I wonder did they know? Did they keep the hope? Or they temporarily forgot what He said because of what was before their eyes? And not just before their eyes, they touched death, just like Thomas touched resurrection... who would know what trouble was in their souls?

Wow SoulWeaver, I have never even thought about that part of what Mary and the other women went through in caring for the Lords body like that! My heart just faints with in me to think of the deep sorrow they felt, and yet trying to hold on to the little faith that they had left! I'm even starting to cry thinking of it! No wonder the Lord appeared to them first after he raised! Even in our deepest sorrows, we must remind ourselves that our future is bright and Glorious! Thank you for the inspiring post!

I don't think they had hope He would rise from the dead. Because the one who brought people up from the grave had just died himself. Yes - they touched his death. New thought for me.

* * * * * *I thought about the boy who sat among the rocks in the grave yard, and no one could bind him, he broke loose all the chains, and cut himself away. It doesn't say who called the Lord to go there on a boat, or if God himself lead him to that boy, but when he saw Jesus he fell at his feet, he was waiting, and it must of cut the heart of Christ deeper, than superficially cutting the flesh, it cut deep into the heart of the Son of God, our LOrd and Savior Jesus, to see him, to understand what other's didn't and didn't see, into his heart, his emotions, and spirit. Jesus set him free. Death could no contain Love. We must be gentle and compassionate with other's this is Christ's command, and the fruits of the HOly spirit.*
