I was wondering if given an opportunity to squirrel something away in a time capsule to be opened 50 years from this date Feb.2020, what would you put in it to show the generation of 2070 our progression.?

I'm in my 60's now and remember transistor radios,wringer washing machines,tv with antennas,cars w/o a.c.,no microwave......but the digital era began in my 30's and took off so fast!

We now have smart phones,smart watches,smart cars,flat screen tvs,computers ect.ect.



What would you put in a time capsule?
I think I would write a handwritten letter in cursive on unlined paper and address the above new digital era we now live in!

Family photos to show the 2070 generation what love and commitment mean today. That is so fastly dwindling even now!

Time is a crazy thing. I already know people that can’t read or write in cursive, so I am certain they may think your letter was in a whole different language.

I’m thinking I’d want to put in a favorite book, a set of keys, money or maybe even a remote.

Lanolin, I love the idea of pens and pencils. Sadly, they be foreign objects.

On the same note as cursive... I would put in an audio cd, and pray I was around when it was opened so I could giggle at them trying to figure out what it was, much less how to use it.

Then I will get my grand-nephew to show me how to use the modern MediaMind's interface screen, and he will roll his eyes because I don't just use it telepathically like a normal person.

Like Lanolin, I’d put in some pencils and paper.

Perhaps maybe chuck in some expired cheese to really surprise them.
