Today sees the official resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, and I for one am very sad. Despite not being Catholic, I do see how both the Roman Catholic Church and the Anglican Movement I am a part of are seen by millions of people around the world.

Yes, there have been hurts, and abuse, and these things have been perpetrated by those who claimed to follow Christ. Yes, the argument over celibacy in the priesthood is a valid one, but there are many factors here which need to be discussed, interrogated, and ultimately, dealt with.

What happens now? Well, as we know, the time of the empty throne of St Peter begins when the Pope officially steps down. Normally, there are days of mourning, but this is unique. This is a time of great uncertainty for the church worldwide, regardless of our denominations, and we must consider what message we will send to those without Christ as the centre of the lives, something which Benedict prayed believers would experience for themselves. We must pray that whoever is elected will judge fairly, and also have the strength to lead the RC Church through this difficult time. What affects the Catholic Church, affects us all.

Despite the throne of St Peter being empty, I'm grateful that He sits on the Throne of Heaven is still worthy, and most of all firmly sat on it.

THIS IS TRUTHFULLY BEAUTIFUL. THOSE WHO PROCLAIM THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND PREACH FORGIVNESS ARE NOT AGAINST THE LORD, BUT AS THE WORD SAYS, "THOSE ARE FOR ME, ARE NOT AGAINST ME." I AGREE WITH YOU, HIS PRAYERS AND SAYINGS HAVE BEEN STRAIGHTLY READ FROM THE WORD. THE FEW CHANGES OF IT, IS NOTHING COMPARED TO THE HUGE DISCRIMINATIONS AGAINST IT. I DO NOT LIKE ANY FAITH BEING PUT DOWN, I MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH SOME WAYS BUT I AGREE WITH SPREADING THE GOSPEL, THROUGH WHOSOEVER THE LORD WILL USE. THIS INCLUDES THE POPE AND A FISH THAT HAD A COIN IN IT'S MOUTH, OR THE DONKEY THAT TALKED. THERE IS GOOD IN ALL FAITHS, AND THERE IS NO PERFECT CHURCH ON EARTH. THE ONLY THING THAT IS PERFECT IS CHRIST, AND THE PERFECT PEACE HE OFFERS FREELY," THOU SHALL KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE WHEN STAYED UPON HIM". OH CHEER UP, DON'T BE SAD, EACH ONE KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR THEMSELVES. :)

P.S. RECENTLY I PASSED A CATHOLIC CHURCH, SACRED HEART, AND WANTED TO STOP WITH MY FAMILY TO PRAY, IN PRIVATE. THE DOORS WERE OPENED AND NO ONE BUT AN ELDERLY WOMEN WAS PRAYING. THERE WAS JUST A WOODEN CROSS, AND A KNEELING PADS. WE PRAYED TOGETHER AS A FAMILY, I CRIED AND WHEN IT WAS OVER I WALKED OUT AND FELT THE HEAVINESS GONE. THE GOOD THINGS ARE NEVER MENTIONED ABOUT THE CATHOLIC CHURCHES, ONLY THE BAD EPISODES, THE FACT THAT THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS THE ONLY ONE I KNOW OF OF ALL THE RELIGIONS, THAT THE DOORS ARE OPEN MOSTLY 7 DAYS A WEEK. THEY ARE LOVING PEOPLE WHO ARE NO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT ANYONE IS. WE ALL NEED CHRIST, THIS IS THE GREAT COMMISSION THE LORD WANTS. COMPASSION AND TO LET OUR LIGHT SHINE, NOT DISCRIMINATION. TO BE ABLE TO GO SOMEWHERE AND PRAY BESIDES HOME IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE, THE LORD NEVER HAS A SIGN OUT TO BREAKFAST, LUNCH OR DINNER. AMEN..........
