I was looking at Christmas decorations, saw these trees and thought it might be fun to share beautiful/fun/unusual Christmas decorations. :)

Well...

Our house is awesomely decorated, in other places besides our tree, but our poor tree...

As you can see, there are no ornaments on the lower 2/3 and the lights are messed up. The cats took them all out. We've been spraying them with a water/squirt bottle during the day when they're in it, but they get it in at night when no one can discipline them.

It's both frustrating and hilarious to me. It's a good thing they're so darn cute.

I was really proud of myself for this...it took many hours of procrastination to accomplish.

That tree could easily be a department store window display. Gorgeous!

OK - You guys come on over. Julianna will clean and organize, Cris will decorate my tree, I will cook. :)
 
I've been making most of my own decorations this year. Almost done. Will post some pics by the end of the week :)

Ooh, ooh, we are having an Ugly Christmas Sweater party this year. I found a really hideous 90's sweater at Goodwill. Imma sew some fuzz puffs on it and make it truly spectacular.
 
For my work Christmas party, we're having an ugly sweater contest. Seems that some older/ugly sweaters are the "in" thing, now, so I want to find a truly hideous one.

A college friend of mine HATED sweater vests and also ugly sweaters. He lost a bet one time and so we bought him a horrendous ugly sweater vest off of Ebay, complete with 3-D (stuffed) snowmen on the front and jingly bells. He had to wear it all day to his classes. :)
 
I admit, I prefer trees that have a unifying colour theme. I'm not super big on Christmas decorations, but The Ex was, and since I grew up treeless, she let me pick the ornaments and lights. I did silver and black ornaments with blue and white LEDs. I really liked that tree.

Gracie already mentioned it; this will the be the first year I've gotten a tree since then. And what splendid timing on this thread! I just put it up!

IT IS an encouragement to decorate CC! :)

definitely not a derail :) I'm always excited about Christmas :) Ugly sweaters are a great idea
