Ever since I could remember, my family always argued. Yes, we go to church and we'd go all the time when I was little. I am Christian, and I've seen some "bad examples" of people who claim to be christian throughout my life. I had many struggles with my own faith, but I believe i'm on the right track and I feel like God wants to use me. However, every time I always get my alone time with God someone always opens my room door making it distracting. But that's not my problem, My problem is that this morning I heard my mom and my sister arguing about stuff that happened in the past, and other problems. I went into the kitchen to see what the fuss was about. I didn't start "arguing" but when my sister said something about some things I didn't agree with, I started to tell her what God says about it.

I felt a tug at my heart to do so. But my sister and mom kept arguing! I kept telling them they needed to drop the conversation, but neither one of them did. This turned out really bad, and my sister took off. Earlier while the conversation was going on, my youngest sister came in and was watching what was going on. I sat down on the couch to eat, but then she started talking to my mom about forgiveness and how you can't forget. (This is true in alot of cases) BUT when she said it was something you don't forget and that its hard if you keep on forgiving. I said yes, it is, but you still have to do it Jesus tells you too! She looked like she was irritated as said something like "well, if I keep forgiving them, that's just crazy" or something around that. I said well Jesus said forgive 70 X's 7 you have to do it anyway!

She's like well this person did this or that. I said people have done stuff to me too! It's not like they haven't! You just have to forgive them! and she told me "Christy, I don't know why you always pretend like your my mom!" I said I don't pretend like that, I am just telling you the truth. She said "well stop acting like it!" I said I am not acting like your mom, I am telling you this because I love you! I continued to tell her certain things about the bible, but she put her earphones into her ears and rolled her eyes trying to ignore me as I continued to say things to her. She said I was putting words in to her mouth, (I was not, I was restating what she basically told me) When I said Jesus tells us to do these things, she said "Ugghhh! I don't care!!!" I said you don't care? and kept asking the same question. Then, she kept telling me how she was tired of me acting like I could tell her this or that. She hopped up and stomped out of the livingroom and went into her room. While I finished my food, my mom and I (who were left) said a few things to eachother, but then I said "sometimes God will shows us things in other people that we need to say because they don't see it in themselves." and I left out of the livingroom and now here In my room.

I don't feel that anything I said to my sister's was wrong! I would feel really bad right now if I had said something mean or not true. I'm about to pray about this, but I also know that sometimes things could go on, that I don't see. God sees it all, but I really don't want my sisters to think that I am trying to put them down, cause I wasn't...

Like I said, my family always gets into arguments. Almost everyday about something! Does anyone else's family do this? I am just tired of it, and I am doing my best to say what I feel God wants me to say and keeping my mouth shut when I shouldn't say anything. I just want this to stop! I think a lot of it is from burdens and problems some of my family members are carrying or things they don't feel they are doing wrong. Maybe its a time for everyone to grow up! Or maybe some of them aren't admitting to their faults. Whatever it may be, I just know that from now on, I need to REALLY watch my example since I said those things I felt like I had to say.

Please pray for my family every time you get a chance, and this situation...
When I said someone in my family (including me sometimes) argues almost everyday, it literally is almost every day! Satan is really trying to destroy us!

P.S. My parents have been separated for about 3 years almost 3 years now. (That's another story, but I need help praying in that area too)

Thanks!

haha Snow Angel...thanks. I pressed the post button when I realized I back spaced the "a" thanks! ;)

I will pray that God will give you all wisdom and understanding. Just remeber you can claim authority over the strongholds that are in your families lives.
Sounds like the spirit of dissention. Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. But don't rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, rejoice because your name is written in heaven.
2Cor 4:19 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. Keep you eyes on Jesus.
In His service, Shekaniah

You're definitely not alone, there's similar things going on in my family. You know, I think our family is one of the biggest trials we go through. they're people who we encounter on a regular basis, so the devil tries to use that to get to us, to wear us down. Don't let it get you down, venting to God can really help :)

The hardest ones to witness to in Jesus are ussually those that are closest to us.
Do not be discouraged, you have planted the seed, Jesus will make it grow.
When I was young, my brothers and sisters fought alot as well, so much that I would wrap my pillow around my head and scream to push the sound away.
It is not easy to hear fighting, but better this than no comunication at all.
Now that they are grown, my family is always there, careing and helping each other, thay only argue about politics now. :)
As another said, comand any spirit of division from your home in Jesus Christ is Lord.
I will be praying for you and your family in Jesus.

Hugs and God bless.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

We all pray believing, be patient

Your family needs forgiveness and no more pride pray and pray for them again.
