God doesn't need your money, what he wants is your life? Do you think God is pleased with the amount of money you give? Do you think you are giving your money to God? God doesn't care for money, he owns you and the whole world. What he desires from you is nothing more than to love him with all your mind soul and body, and to love your neighbor as yourself. Your money will not get you into heaven, and your money cannot buy you eternal life, neither can your money by fellowship with God.

Pastors who preach a hard message to get your money are not glorifying God in doing it. People who say your tithe is going to God, ought to really give that money to the poor. Money to build those churches are to build temples for men, which are not temples of God at all. They are just building stone buildings. There is only one temple that God dwells in. Men cannot build the temple of God. Only God himself can build the temple for him to dwell in, neither did he ask anyone to build him a temple to live in. Let God live in you. Take the Life that he gives, which is Jesus Christ and become part of HIS CHURCH. Your membership with that local building is not being a part of his Church. His church is believers who follow Jesus and obey his commands. Give God your Life, not your money!!! And honor him in everything. May Jesus bless you.

Amen! Jesus is not for sale. He doesn't need us. It is us who needs him. We must be obedient.

hmmm wonder why i resurrected this thing back? lol oh well

Tithing supports what the pastor is doing. How can the love of God truly be in someone who doesn't tithe or help someone in need. The money is relief to somebody. Don't be greedy, be a cheerful giver!

The church isn't isolated from the secular world, that demands "money" upon services and products rendered.
You may state, I'm working for the Lord, and the bank will respond with, "Repossed." Jesus had a disciple
carry around a bag of money. If Jesus needed a bag of money then, we need money today.

God asked for it in the Levitcal ministry for the reason of His order of law which revealed lack of agape and the soon coming of the utlimate and perfect Priest Jesus our Omnipotent Agape Lord it is an expression of God's infinite forsight to give and a request to Love Agape which fulfills all the New Contract of His blood, it is not paying for it but flowing in His love to others let God judge others hearts just do not rob God to use it to convict the misuse of it and also flow with it in Love, Paul and every minister that you are ministered to by showed the example of it to be a act of Love to the churches in collecting for the saints need in the Book of 2 corth. and also had the right to ask his need be met by the saints love of Jesus ministering through him, but he refused it to not allow demons and flesh to cause anyone to harden their heart to the ministry of Jesus through him.

I am not convinced of this that God does not need us, God soooo loved the world of mankind that He gave us His Son, Only Son, whether need or want or desire is the perfect percise word only God will tell us maybe it will be all i can do to ask Him for mercy to be able to ask Him when i see Him face to face. Did He love the angels to save them ? No! So, something is very different and maybe not explainable even uncertian to us the infinite magnitude of the "NEED" to Save mankind the need for mankind. Maybe the Need is mutual.

Tithing is part of the Law and I think its only mentioned twice in the New Testament. HOWEVER, the new testament is full of "give freely, generously, so no one is lacking" Im sure many here can quote them. No longer is it a case of giving your 10% and walking away feeling you have" done your bit" , now its more like "Lord what do you want me to do, how much you want me to give, where do you want it to go"? Living by the spirit in the area of money is not an area that should be neglected. God may say " well son, you only need 10% yourself this month please give the other 90% away" and He will tell you WHERE to give it to....and it may not be to some rich thinking church pastor. When you give your life to God it means EVERYTHING...your life is no longer your own, neither are your possessions or money. EVERYTHING is on loan from God.

Afterall it is optional and we can only give what we can afford to give. I agree asking God the what to give is ultimately the best idea.

My local church needs a new door, I wish I could by one for them...
