I tried to explain it from an FE POV - he developed "an attitude" - I gave up
Ad hominem fallacy... An attack on someone's character in order to avoid the issue...

Gary was simply unable to give an explanation without misinformation...
This attack is uncalled for and unfounded...
I was never rude to the brother Garry, never used foul language, never ridiculed him and certainly never attacked his character.
In fact, i was very patient with Garry, i gave him plenty of time to answer the question, over a month,
i went out of my way to draw diagrams, i even watched his 20 minute video...

After all that im a bit disappointed. But hey, water off a ducks back to me...
No hard feelings... Resentment rips apart our spirit and soul mate, it needs to be purged

Iv engaged Moses and Tim without any tears... None of us have any hard feelings.
In fact, Moses even gave me an informative badge and thumbs up.

So in the end the attack on my character is cheap and is simply a distraction from the facts...
Regardless of my attitude, or Garry's false perception of it, the facts still remain...

And the fact is that FE can't explain this

I have nothing against you - and, I am not trying to "attack your character" - I was only expressing my perception of what occurred.

You were rude to me by virtue of the fact that - once you felt that you "had your answer" - you totally disregarded me as one who you decided did not deserve for you to "return the favor" - to help me get the information that I was looking for and asked that you might help me out.

You [in effect] said 'Oh, thanks' and then blew me off...

I gave you no "misinformation" - you refused to interpret it properly from a FE POV.

I tried to explain it from an FE POV - and you would not "listen" - long enough to try to understand the FE POV.

So - I stand behind my statement.

I regret that you [seem to] have an attitude that wishes to dispute the ideas of others while not being willing to listen to their explanation.

How about we try again then since we're both here now. Step by step... Forget about perceived attitude just read the words...

Do u agree that if we are facing crux we are facing south?

Watch... @GaryA in unable to answer the simplest of questions...

Do u agree that if we are facing crux we are facing south?

Its either "yes" or "no because"...
His "no because" was full of misconceptions and now his just trying to use a lame ad hominem fallacy and attack my character

I know... And i accepted your statement as false... Remember

We can see the crux simultaneously unlike your erroneous claims
And after all that u still cannot explain this without your erroneous assertions...

So forget about pointing fingers cos the truth stands firm...
You can't explain this

Interesting subject, the flat earth, I do a bit of map work which requires working out direction with compass bearings and distances using maps to pinpoint exact locations, the earth is not flat or I would end up no where near where I'm meant to.

Just the other night, I watched a total eclipse of the moon it was awesome, Shows how the creation shows forth the creator, anyway seeing the earth slowly block out the moon, made everything very dark couldn't see anything except the heavens, so the earth had to have been between the sun and the moon it was plain to see and observe, and of course then conclude the earth is a sphere.

As for the flat earth verses, they could be referring to a flat earth yet they may not be, I think for some reason they are ambiguous so I do wonder why God did that, I have a theory but meh.

Yes. I think when you face the crux you are indeed facing south. Just like when you're facing Polaris you're facing north. Regardless of time of day, season, location, etc. I think the most likely explanation for this is that we're on a rotating ball.

@GaryA and one other person convinced me to really give the FE theory a fair shot. And I have. But I really don't see any reasonable explanation for the crux problem with a FE.

Pick your heavenly body (sun, moon, stars, planet, etc). Face the north. Track that body as it crosses the sky on any given day. Compare the path to the path of the body as predicted by FE. The path clearly shows a spherical earth.
We're not talking about flat heavens. We're talking about flat Earth. There's a difference.

I see. Whenever observable facts don't fit the model, rather than adjust the model, we toss out the facts.

The earth has been observed from space many many times, and not once has any camera photographed anything remotely resembling a flat earth.

If the earth were flat, it would be impossible to predict the tides. Yet we can predict them in detail, way into the future.

If the earth were flat, there would be no predictable weather activities. Yet we can predict the weather into the future.

If the earth were flat, Satellite navigation would be impossible.

I can go on and on, but it would be futile. You still want to live in the stone age.

Man ive given it a really fair shot... And before this i had the blow torch on BE theory as well...

Im surprised that he has these hard feelings...
I thought Texans were tough cowboy types, like the typical Aussie is, not one to run away, cry and point fingers...
Gary is so bitter now he won't even speak to me... He won't answer one simple question

Here are some erroneous claims made by @GaryA and his video

1/ Some southern constellations don't exist... Incorrect.
2/ The SC rises and sets... Incorrect.
3/ The SC doesn't always point south... Incorrect.
4/ You cannot see the SC to the south from multiple positions at once at night... Incorrect.

And many more false conjectures and refutations in his attempt to find an excuse
I was 100% right about him not being able to handle the truth
He got upset when i corrected him on these false claims. Starts crying cos i hurt his feelings...
Facts don't care about feelings... The truth can hurt, especially when you've been entrenched in such a false dogma for so long...

I deal in facts not fiction...
A persons attitude and or character has nothing to do with facts and truths
I gave them a chance to explain the south pole... They failed

FE has been refuted...

Now... Let me get back to watching and documenting my birds...
Little penguins... Awww their adorable

Obviously you would have to get to the point where the crux is pointing north to find the edge.
Or just keep moving in any direction until you get there. How big is your imaginary flat earth anyway? It can't be flat. If it was, cats would have pushed everything over the edge by now.

@Timtofly

In the early evening i see the crux around this position.
View attachment 228198

At the same time in South America its before sunrise...
They are seeing the crux like this, upside down
View attachment 228197

But regardless of its orientation we are both facing south, at crux, in opposite directions

View attachment 228199 Impossivel my friend
You are only facing south at noon or midnight, when you face the crux. At other times when you face crux, it points to the south.

The physics of the way it points would mean if it is upside down you are literally facing north. It is not pointing below you, but above you. It is only an optical allusion that the crux is pointing south. If you are looking at the crux, you are not always with your back to the North, it just seems that way.

It is also an optical allusion that it does not rise and set. Since it can only be vertical at 12, when it is not vertical you are not looking straight south. You are facing towards the east or west and have to follow the angle it is pointing to look south. Put up an example where you see the crux at 3pm and they see it at 9pm. Now you and Brazil are looking at each other. South would be to your left, and to their right. You would be facing Brazil to the North. They would be facing you to the north. South would still be the edge.

1st Incorrect... Every time you face crux, your facing south... ALWAYS

Not sure what u mean by "it points South" but when ever you facing the SC, your facing south...

2nd Incorrect
No matter the orientation of the SC... If you are facing SC, you are facing south... ALWAYS

3rd Incorrect. The southern cross never rises or sets where i live in Australia... It can always bee seen in the night sky

Ive been watching the crux now for 3 months, every night...
I have to go outside to go to the toilet so iv been looking at it then also... LoL... Its too cold sometimes
Its always there, i check my compass... South every time brother

Now at around 6pm the southern cross stands upright, in the 12 o'clock position...
By 6 am it has turned and sit upside down in the 6 o'clock position...

But regardless of the SC orientation... If your facing it, you are facing south my friend... Always

Im the zen of patince.... Iv been observing the crux now for over 3 months, every night when i go to the toilet...
Have u done that? Im a monk when it comes to patience... Im so patient im willing to start all over again...
Forget everything thats been said and start all over again... Thats how patient i am... Iv got no where to go...

This time i invite @Moses_Young to be a judge/referee... He is a flat earther but we understood each other. So he should be perfect in helping you and i reach an understanding. Thats if your truly objective and are willing to reach an understanding like Moses and I have... We agree to disagree but we understand each other...

I invite @Dino246 and @surfer14 to be jury as well to watch and see that all is fair...

Im the prosecution... Flat earth is the defence and @GaryA is their barrister... Ok...

Courts in session...

Your honour MY and presiding jury...
My only real question is how can we be all looking at the SC simultaneously?

FE1.jpg

But i think we need to understand and agree on a few things first

Fact 1 - Every time we are looking at the SC, we are facing south, regardless of orientation, elevation
Every time you are looking at dipper, you are facing north, regardless or orientation or elevation

dipper north.jpg crux south.jpg

Gary do u agree with this?
If yes ill continue my questioning
If no then explain why

Fair enough guys???
