The title asks all. In my openion the best way to do so is to accept that nobody has anything without being selfish like god himself is. This does not mean that one should be without love for others or consideration for truth.
 
Perhaps "accept" would be a better word than "take". To accept implies that a thing is freely given to you from another. If we "take", we may be taking something that doesn't belong to us..and that's a no-no.

Jesus said, "Freely you have received. Freely give."
 
Hint: Altruism is the most selfish strategy, if Jesus is the greatest Self that ever was.
Guarantees resources.
