To sin or not to sin

I love Jesus! He has done so much for me. I am eternally grateful for my salvation through grace. without the pure mercies of God; I could not be saved..... and so the sentence of death has been removed.I am a new creation, my sin nature exchanged for the nature of Christ.

In my life, i don't always walk perfect, yet He is faithful and just to forgive my shortcomings.
But i will not diminish the POWER of Him who resides n me. For by accepting Him I have now obtained power...and this is no ordinary POWER. This is the POWER of the ultimate. For He said the same POWER that raised Christ from the dead resides in us. therefore the power to have dominion over sin resides in me.

When I fall short, it is not because I couldn't do the right thing, it because I choose at that time to be disobedient to God's word and to give in the flesh. (walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh) these are scriptures that tells me it can be done. For He has given me the power to do all things through Him who strengthens me; this would include obeying His every command.

Dont misunderstand me........He knows that we battle with flesh, so He understands when we fall short, but He gave us the power to win, so we don't have any excuse; except to repent and move on

May we all walk in the power of Jesus Christ (those of us who have accepted Him) that lives inside of us...Amen

In several other threads at this forum there are discussions about whether christians can reach some form of perfectionism and even sinlessness in this life (apart from their positional perfection in Christ Jesus).

Some holds that this is actually possible, if only one desires it and work for it much enough. Others (count me in) will say that while such strive is certainly good and right in itself, it is simply not attainable in full in this life. An important reason for the latter view is that we truly acknowledge what the law actually says about sin and righteousness, without redefining it, spiritualising it, excusing it, watering it down or holding to that there are "two laws" (one OT law and one NT law) with different meanings, or basically refusing not to call sin (and righteousness) by its proper name. Truly, the requirements of God are simply said rigorous above the limit of the sky and only Jesus Christ alone has met these requirements in full (praised be His Holy Name).

Christians do battle with their flesh, because the old nature is still with us (although positionally we are crucified with Christ, as well as seated with Him in heaven, otherwise there's no hope). That's why we are encouraged to resist the moves of the flesh and instead yield to the Spirit of God. But I hope you clearly see that any positive outcome in our struggle against flesh and sin is not the result of our sucessful so-called "co-operation with God", it is only God's working alone in us for His own glory and purpose, according to His own will.

Just like in justification, God is the author and finisher of our faith. And it behaves us to look unto our High Priest Jesus, not unto ourselves or other people, for our right standing with God at all times. If we begin to be focused on our selves, we will soon lose the peace and joy that comes as a fruit of salvation and soon we are left to the mercies of our own power and abilities. Any person who understands the concepts of sin and righteousness correctly and biblically will understand that he fall short of God's requirements not so seldom.

May the peace of God be with you. And always remember that if you have sinned, be assured that upon confession of your sins you are forgiven for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amen.

2Cor 3:18 says that we are transformed into the image of Christ from Glory to Glory even on this earth.. So yes, a Sinless life is possible....
 
I am actually saying neither.
We are susceptible to sin, yet have the POWER that raised Christ from the dead inside of us, so we are equipped with all that we need not to
